The Secretary General of the Trades Union Congress, Dr. Anthony Yaw Baah, has praised the 2016 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for the maturity he displayed in preserving Ghana’s peace, in the aftermath of the disputed 2012 presidential election.
Dr. Anthony Yaw Baah recounted the visit to the TUC by the NPP presidential candidate in 2013, to elicit their opinions about his decision to challenge the results of the 2012 election in Court.
According to the TUC boss, “that singular action you took helped to keep the peace that we are enjoying today. We commend you for that,” stressing that “what was even more remarkable was the maturity you demonstrated after the Supreme Court verdict in August 2013.”
Dr. Yaw Baah was addressing a meeting between the TUC and Nana Akufo-Addo, when the latter paid a courtesy call on the workers’ union at its headquarters on Monday, October 31, 2016.
According to the TUC boss, even though the country faces a myriad of problems, there are still some positives worth celebrating.
“One thing we have which we all cherish is the peace we are enjoying, and that is why Nana’s acceptance of the Supreme Court verdict in 2012 was extremely significant. We have witnessed politicians in other countries who have caused chaos,” he explained.
The visit by the NPP to the TUC to outline his solutions to the problems facing the country, in the view of Dr. Baah, “is an indication of the respect you (Akufo-Addo) have for the TUC and the recognition of the contribution of working people of Ghana to the development of our dear country.”

we would have send him to the ICC
NEXT TIME IN THE 2016 elections there will be no Courts if Nana Addo is cheated by the NDC ; this time; GHANAIANS SHOULD AWARE THERE IS TROUBLE FACING GHANA TODAY !!!!!!!!!
Yes, only NDC people don't appreciate the good contribution NANA has made for Ghana. However, no weapon wielded against the Lord's appointed servant can cause any harm. We hope the wind of change blowing in Ghana will materialise come December 7th and yonder.
Frank and the other jealous freaks, no matter how hard the rain beats the leopard, it cannot wash away its black spots. There are instances where people have rejected election results and has led to chaos. Just look at EC rejecting a court's decision on Dr Nduom. What does she get in disqualifying anybody? Creating tension in the country. Nana Addo managed the anger of his followers by his strong and commendable leadership. The whole world commended him as the country was on urge. God will crown Nana in due season to deliver us from arrogance and corruption. Salute, H.E Prez Nana Akufo Addo
Why are people behaving as if akuffo addo did the country some favoour by accepting the verdict of the supreme court ruling. Statement like this will make akuffo addo think the presidency is is birth right. The presidency is not his family stool that he has to ascend it at all cost. Was he going to start a war or what. You are heading a responsible organization and mind your comment on political issues.
Mr TUC boss this is political talk.Tell the peace loving man to declear openly that he will accept the outcome of the elections which he failed to do in Kumasi in 2012.
As if, he had the power to control the peace of his own life, let alone the peace of Ghana. The man could not even ensure the peace of his own party let alone Ghana.
MR. AKUFFO ADDO'S LEVEL OF MATURITY IN POLITICS AND PERSONAL LIFE IS BEYOND COMPARE.
