The Campaign manager of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Peter Mac Manu, has advised President John Dramani Mahama and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to be guided by the election violence that occurred in Ivory Coast and accept defeat without any hesitation to guarantee peace in the country.
He said president Mahama must ensure that he accepts defeat immediately after the December polls by calling the presidential candidate of NPP ,Nana Akufo-Addo, to congratulate him.
He assured supporters of the party, who are troubled over concerns that the government may rig the election and may not hand over power upon it defeat that the NPP will not allow that to happen.
“Nobody should be afraid, some people are worried that the NDC may rig the election or may not cede power should they lose. Let me assure you, that is not going to happen. You look around Ivory Coast. What happened to Laurent Gbago when he refused to cede power; his wife as well as his special aid who were causing trouble are all languishing in prison, so the NDC and John Mahama must take a lesson from that to cede power to guarantee peace in the country.”
Addressing supporters of the party at a programme dubbed ‘adopt a polling station now’ in Koforidua on Saturday, Mr. Mac Manu stated that Mr. Akufo-Addo accepted defeat in 2008 by congratulating President John Evans Atta Mills, adding that in 2012, the party attempted to pour on the streets to cause mayhem after the party detected irregularities, but Mr. Akufo- Addo blocked that move and opted to use legal means to seek redress at the Supreme Court.
Ken Ofori Atta, the Director -in-Charge of National Fundraising Team of the NPP, said the project being rolled out nationwide aims at ensuring that adequate resources are generated both in cash and in kind to support polling station agents who would be deployed to the various polling stations across the country to plug some loopholes that were created in their duties in the 2012 elections which provided opportunities for irregularities in the election.

Politicians are very wicked. They don't care about the disabled, children and women, all the care is winning power to promote their businesses and make money. Because you people want to make money, you want Ghanaians to die. What is wrong when you lose election. Overwhelming majority of Ghanaians want to live in peace to go about their daily lives, whether nana Addo or mahama wins or not. If you lose you lose, we don't want war in Ghana. Can you imagine dying for someone like asiedu nketsiah, Kweku anyidoho, Kennedy agyepong and obiri boahene to have power to fill their pockets. These four individuals alone is enough motivation to understand that it doesn't work dying for politicians. Whenever they speak they don't make one bit of sense, yet they want us to die for them to enjoy. Only a fuull would create violence in Ghana for politicians.
We are making all those politicians and prophets who are preaching violence and if any violence start in Ghana we shall come after them one after the other. Nana Addo and Mac Manu would be the first casualties since the are the major once insinuating violence if they lose elections. Gone were the days when they cause confusion and run away. This time round we are ready to cease their passports. We will all die together, no one is moving an inch. Ghanaians cannot allow ourselves to be brainwashed in to violence while they run to uk and USA and enjoy life. Not this time.
Why should NDC sit down to allow NOP spit this kind of language? Who protests election in this country? Who is that desperate to win power.? Stop joking and prepare for a big defeat.
