As part of his resolve to sustain the political momentum left off by the NPP flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo, during his recent visit to the region, the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has commenced a community tour to interact with voters.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman is expected to spend seven days touring areas that were not covered by the NPP flagbearer during his visit a couple of weeks ago.
Chairman Wontumi will hold community durbars to interact with the Chiefs and people and explain to them the need to vote the NPP to power in the upcoming elections.
Already, the tour has gathered momentum at the Bosomtwe Constituency where hundreds of supporters have been waiting anxiously to meet the NPP Chairman and his entourage.
The tour began at Sewia in the morning where Chairman Wontumi was met on arrival by enthusiastic supporters.
The NPP Chairman and his entourage, including his Special Aide, Andy Owusu and Constituency Executives, first paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Sewia, Nana Kwaku Amaakwaah Sarkodie II.
The Chief encouraged the NPP Chairman and his entourage to engage in clean campaigning and desist from acts that can disrupt the peaceful atmosphere the country is enjoying.
He also advised supporters of all political parties to eschew all forms of violence and live in harmony with each other.
