Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Savanna Accelerated Development Authority, SADA, Charles Abugri, has advised political leaders to refrain from politicizing the operations of the Authority, since such acts usually impact negatively on the operations of the Authority.
Speaking at the National Forum on the Transformation of the Savanna Ecological Zone, in Tamale over the weekend, Mr. Abugri indicated that the past records of some people should not be used to determine the present performance or operations of the authority since according to him, SADA currently has a new set of leadership that is highly committed to achieving the set objectives.
He noted that the current crop of leaders in SADA have tried to be neutral in the performance of their duties and have tried as much to refrain from indulging in political activities. He therefore called on all political party leaders and their executives rally behind the authority and support its course to achieve the outline objectives.
He stressed that SADA under its new management is bent on changing the misfortune that characterized the Authority some years ago as a resulting the hardwork by the current crop of leaders he noted that SADA is currently impacting positively on the lives of farmers and inhabitants within the SADA zone.
Charles Abugre is hopeful that the hard work exhibited by the new management in the Savannah Ecological Zone of Ghana’ will unlock the massive agriculture potential of the northern regions. Acknowledging the past woes of SADA and some scandals that plagued the dissolved administration, Dr. Charles Abugri indicated SADA can make changes, be reformed and can be better.
He noted that despite the law guarding SADA as enshrined under the NDC government, the plan to develop the Northern Savannah Ecological Zone was already in gear. What it needs is the political will to materialize, he stressed. Dr Abugri, however, charged political parties to be technocratic to uphold the transformational agenda of the Northern Savannah Ecological Zone since it holds the perpetual economic liberation of the country and must not be seen as a political game.
In his presentation of a master plan document aimed at industrializing the SADA zone, he stated his administration has been working for the past two years on all research works that pertains to the soils and viable seeds, roads, dams, solar energy plants and industries that will stimulate growth and revenue generation in the area. He was of the view that the SADA zone would only be prioritized when the infrastructural projects and development agenda of the Zone is lifted into the national infrastructure plan.

This dishonest northerner again? Was he not the same person who went about shooting down the NPPs one-village one -dam policy proposal that is expected to unleash the agricultural potential of the northern savanna ecological zone? He now realizes that talking about SADA hurt NDC so he is telling us not to politicize SADA. Dr Abugri you couldnt have been an impartial judge in this matter given the way you conducted yourself political during the earlier forum on SADA. You introduced the politics now you are running away. You see you dont make sense anymore. Whether you like or not SADA became a big political issue in Ghana the day your NDC stole a noble idea from the NPP and made it an avenue for ***barred word*** the state coffers. We will continue to tell our norther brothers how wicked a norther president Mahama was when he connived and supervised the money that was meant for developing the north. Give us a break dishonest greedy norther who does not have the interest of northerners at heart.
Just ***barred word***. St.upid
