General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is alleging that Samira Bawumia, wife of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) vice presidential candidate was once an executive of the NDC’s student wing.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia alleged that Samira Bawumia was a Women's Organizer of Tertiary Educational Institutions Network (TEIN) in one of the universities in the country.
He, however, failed to name the said institution when pressed for further details.
Nevertheless, Asiedu Nketiah insisted that both Dr. Bawumia and his wife were active members of the NDC but have lost their birthrights after joining the NPP.
The NDC scribe could not fathom why the former deputy Governor of the Bank and his wife 'who are dyed-in-the-wool NDC' will trade a 'people-centered political party like the NDC' to join the NPP which 'believes in a class society.'
“Samira and Bawumia have strong connections to the NDC. Bawumia’s mother was an NDC constituency women organiser, and his elder brother was also appointed an Ambassador to Burkina Faso and another brother of his contested on the ticket of the NDC as the Parliamentary candidate, and Samira’s brother is also contesting at Adentan on NDC ticket,” he stated.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia warned them [Bawumia, Samira] never to think about coming back to the NDC because they have lost their place.

Okudzeto Ablakwa was also a strong NPP member but left bcos Kuffour refused to give him huge money for no work done. This is no propagada, its a fact n almost all the student in UG around 2000 to 2005 knew abt this.. but NDC promised him n they delivered n now he is a millionaire (within 7 years, wooooow politics is better than working as civil or public servant or a private company..
This is one of the comic reliefs in recent times. I think Asiedu Nketia is as confused as his boss. Instead of addressing issues you rather choose to address personalities. In any case Bawumia's 170 questions are still outstanding to be answered by the Vice-President.
AND SO WHAT? ASK OKUDJATO ABLAKWA AND OMANE BOAMAH WHICH POLITICAL PARTY THEY WERE BEFORE COMING TO NDC. EVEN YOU ASIEDU NKETIA, BEFORE NDC CAME IN 1992, WHICH PARTY DID YOU BELONG TO?
The stone that the builders rejected has really become the corner stone.General let me tell you what problem is,you are only scare. When they were with you, their voices were not heard but now they are the main speakers for the party.SSO SAAAAAD.
Do this man understand our constituton well and who told u samira and Bawumia are coming back to NDC for u to say they lost their seat there, nkwadaa adwene nkoaa na wodwene as at ur age. They have their freedom to join any party just as mRS rawlings got her own party so go learn the constitution and for ur info even ur wife and ur kids always vote for NPP. Ask that ur eldest child how he dey feel TESCON. change is coming to shut ur mouth like kakai
If that is ur thought then why do u NDC's was feel some jealousy , only childish behaviour will make u think cos a fellow parents were NDC menas his children should also be for the same party, wise up with ur general and stop this childish polics. Then JM must go to CPP since thats where he also belong to. panin gingyan paa ni
Anytime a mere member of NDC cross carpet to NDC he/she becomes a star in NPP. It tells you NDC has the men and the wastes are NPP's gold
I prefer a party that believes in class society and practices it to a party that doesn't believe in it but practices. In other words I believe in people who are true to themselves and everybody are better and more trustworthy than people who pretend. In any case, society is naturally a class society. In the Bible and I believe in the Quran too, there are classes of people. We have rulers and the ruled, kings and subjects, rich and poor etc.
