Students of the University of Ghana (UG), Legon, are said to have rejected sachet water branded with the logo of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to reports, the NDC campaign team came to the campus Saturday evening, November 26, 2016 with trucks loaded with the sachet water to distribute to the students who are preparing to write their end of semester examinations.
They went to Akuafo and Mensah Sarbah Halls with two of the trucks fully loaded with the water bearing the name of the party’s parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wougon, Delali Akwasi Brempong.
But the students were said to have rejected them and started chanting “we need change.”
Delali Brempong is challenging the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko, for the seat.
