Government has vowed to collect every penny that was wrongly paid to anybody, including businessman, Mr. Alfred Agbesi Woyome.
It will also ensure that the state 'purse' is saved to ensure judicious spending and from further borrowing.
The Minister of Communications Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, said this in Accra yesterday, when his ministry took its turn at the Meet-the-Press series.
Flanked by his deputies, Ato Sarpong and Felix Ofosu Kwakye, as well as Presidential Staffer, James Agyenim-Boateng and George Loh, Member of parliament for North Dayi and member often Government communications Team, the Minister said government was determined "to collect a dime wrongfully paid."
He described as unfortunate, the misinterpretation, and twists associated with the Attorney Generals quest to collect the money from Mr. Woyome.
Explaining that "the 51 million was not paid under the guise of President Mahama," he said it was time people appreciated efforts being made by the government to ensure that the money was refunded to the state.
Dr. Boamah said government had also ensured that those implicated in corruption-related cases were investigated, and some put before court to serve as deterrent to others.
He commended the Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Mrs. Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong, for saving the country colossal amounts of money which would either have gone into the drain, or as cost that could had gone against the stated.
He urged journalists to delve more into issues that would better the lives of the people rather than on Woyome's case.

Talk is cheap, especially from people like Omane Boamah. Is you government notin power? Why complain as you have the power and responsibility to bring all these people, including Nana Addo, to book and collect the money for the country. Why are you not taking action, especially you political opponent. The cheap propaganda is too much please.

Dr. Omane Boamah, what have you achieved since you were made a Minister? As your time is up what is your legacy? The President himself does not have any legacy for the 8years you guys stole your way in government
