The special voting, slated for tomorrow, December 1, in the Jaman north district in the Brong Ahafo Region, is likely to suffer setbacks as names of some ineligible voters have been allegedly detected on the special voters' list.
The voting is expected to take place at the capital of the constituency, Sampa, but not without protests from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
It is believed that some students of the Sampa Nurses Training College, numbering about sixty and some traders have had their names published on the voters' list, which should have been filled with names of journalists, electoral officers, and security personnel.
However, the District Electoral Officer, Madam Diana Asamoah has refuted the claims, saying "we are ready for tomorrow's polls . . . Everything is ready, as you can see, ballot papers and the necessary resources have been acquired," she said.
The Constituency Executives of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) have raised red flags over the elections.
According to the executives, their sources reveal that names of some traders and students have managed to appear on the list that will be used for the election on Thursday.
Eric Appiah Agyei, NDC Communication Officer in the constituency, stated that until they resolve the issue; the elections might be marred because the party does not understand how those names magically got onto the list.
"We suspect a foul play somewhere. No journalist in this constituency has his/her name on the list yet we have students on it. This is unacceptable," he said in an interview with Peacefmonline.com.
The Progressive Peoples Party's agents have also said they do not trust the electoral system.
Currently, the NPP, NDC, CPP and PPP have all been summoned to the District Police Headquarters at Sampa to resolve the conflict.

BUT I THOUGHT THE NDC HAVE BEEN PRAISING THE EC ABD IT BOOS MRS. OSEI WHY COMPLAINING NOW . MASSA PLS YOU AND YOUR PARTY NDC SHOULD NOT COMPLAIN AT ALL KEEP MUTE AND SUFFERING TILL YOU THE NDC LOSES 7TH ELECTIONS .
Why is the ndc complaining? They always defend the EC in whatever it does. The fact is that Mrs. Osei is not competent enough to manage the EC, and she has also decided to do things that will favour those who brought her to the EC. Who ever tries to pervert the will of the people in this elections will never have peace for the rest of his or her life. Who ever wants to bring violence before, during and after this elections will also never have peace. We will resist oppressors rule. We want free, fair and transparent elections. Who ever win this elections must win on merit devoured of any manipulations. God bless our homeland Ghana.
TSATSU REFUSED THE PARDON BY HIS MOUTH BUT HE DID NOT SERVE THE 5 YEARS SENTENCE. THE POINT THE PROF IS MAKING IS THAT THE SENTENCE IS NOT FOR TSATSU TO LIVE IN HIS HOUSE FOR 5 YEARS, THE SENTENCE WAS FOR TSATSU TO LIVE IN PRISON FOR 5 YEARS. SO TSATSU REJECTED THE PARDON BUT DID HE GO BACK TO NSAWAM PRISON, NO! HE WENT HOME.TSATSU IS JUST A CLEVER BARAWO LIKE MOST NDC CRIMINALS. AND ATAA MILLS REWARDED TSATSU WITH 5 MILLION DOLLARS OF GHANA MONEY FOR FREE WHEN HE CAME OUT OF PRISON. LET'S VOTE THESE NDC BARAWO BANZA OUT IN DECEMBER.
They think people haven't got eyes to see? They should come again. This time the whole of Ghana is watching what they will do tomorrow and on December 7th.
