An old lady who is believed to be in her 80’s has teared out her favorite presidential candidate on the ballot sheet.
She explained that the torn person was the candidate she has decided to vote.
According to our reporter at the Chapel Square Water polling station in the Central Region, the old lady rejected any assistance from election officers at post.
“She didn’t vote again when asked by the officers to come for another ballot paper. She left the polling station without voting,” our reporter said.
Seven candidates are contesting to become president of Ghana in the next four years – they are President John Mahama of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), who is seeking re-election for a second and final four-year term and Nana Akufo-Addo, flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The rest are former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Ivor Greenstreet of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Dr Edward Mahama of the People’s National Convention (PNC), and independent candidate Jacob Osei Yeboah

Passion of a true Ghanaian
well said Kwame, but what is NCCE?
This is simple English. Torn is correct madam!
Instead of spending money to educate the public on how to vote they spent the money in done us3l3ss debat bcos their paymasters forced them to do it. This could have been avoided had the NCCE done it's job. No cause for alarm bcos change is here finally.
The right thing is everybody must attain some level of education so as to understand and act responsibly.
Nana has lost one vote but still the Battle is the Lord
You see the reason why people of certain educational level should only be qualified to vote
teared or torn
NCCE has to educate the public very well.
The high level of stress in the country has got into her head... God save Ghana
