The managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has said some boys attacked his car at Dome, a suburb of Accra, Friday.
According to him, it took the intervention of some 'responsible' people in the crowd who forced those boys to apologise to him.
Contributing to a panel discussion on Radio Gold's Alhaji and Alhaji, Kwesi Pratt condemned threats being issued out to people who spoke against a particular political party; adding "we should build a democracy regardless of one's political affiliation"
Below is what he said:
“…I stayed at work till very late yesterday…I got calls from my friends and they said where are you and I said look I am at work. They said are you alone? and I said yes I am alone. Are you driving home alone? and I said yes I am driving home alone and they said no, no, no, you shouldn’t do that. It is dangerous; the situation out there is dangerous and I was wondering; how dangerous can this be?
So I left Abelemkpe (a suburb of Accra); around midnight; driving alone to my house. I passed through several NPP jubilants; nothing happened until I got somewhere in Dome and then a couple of boys; maybe not more than 5 started banging on my car; kicking and so on. And I said my goodness what is this so I parked the car and I came out of the car and I said what the hell is going on here? Now do you know what happened? Apparently more responsible persons in the crowd came out and they forced those young men to apologise. I was so very impressed that there were responsible persons in that crowd of jubilants who quickly brought some discipline and compelled these young men to apologise for what they had done and I felt so proud as a Ghanaian…
A friend of mine who is a leading figure in the NDC called me last night and he said to me that he has had three death threats on his phone…it may not be from the NPP but it should never happen that because a party has lost elections any of its members should receive death threats; it should never happen; that’s a blot on our democracy. We should build a democracy where we are free to disagree and campaign against each other…I hope we will get there…"

Kwesi, you said someone will need an ambulance on election day. I hope you have ordered one for Mahama.
PRATT,YOU SUPPORTED ALL THE DIABOLIC WAYS OF THE NDC WHEN THEY WERE IN POWER, NOW YOU SEE HOW DYNAMIC POWER IS?
I remember seeing a video the current accra major dr vanderpurie was hitting a trotro driver because he broke the motor law Kwesi.which law permitted him to do that? You know what? Because he washe had power. Can you imagine what this trotro driver will do to vanderpurie the next time he meets him as an ordinary Ghanaian? Guess! Bad leadership bad example, bad people is the result.
kwesi , the death threats are coming from we the grassroots of the ndc you guys conspired and deceived until the results were announced.
my friend return the wayomi $350,000 dollars cash bribe and go to prison after, and the 2000 dollrs petrol monies, shame to u a freedom fighter, from g people
There he goes again Pratt stop your ***barred word*** propaganda
I find it difficult this story from Pratt. You mean ppl would attack you and would come out of you car?pls say these to the Marines, dem. The last time i checked,it does not make sense to me my friend so find a new story. You just wanted to creat an atmosphere because you feel you would be attacked and also divert attention on the kind of things you said. A vicious attacker would turn around to beg you and were bold to come out from your car. And what kind of attack, may be verbal attack and if is verbal attack then i think you do worse than that,Kwesi you even join the wagon by insulting Pastors so chill man and stop this lies because nobody believe you anymore. You have lost all your respect when you join those small boys to insult pastors and Nana Addo
We d npp have no time for those who have sold their conscience to ndc because of money. The people of Ghana hv spoken ! We've won n will rule d nation peacefully without leaving any stone on turn !
Cheap talk,Kwesi Pratt,we said we are tired of NDC,when its time for us to change NPP we will do it.But hey,you are a cheap politician.Even the voltarians who have been used all these years say, change is here.Rise up Kwesi.
Kwesi told the whole world that the election results would be such a shock to NPP that several of their executives would have heart attack on their announcement. Can you tell us now Kwesi, what has happened to your prediction?
