Some angry youth in the Ekumfi Constituency in the Central Region have burnt down a vehicle belonging to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The move, according to Adom News’ Kofi Adjei, is to prevent the incumbent Member of Parliament, Abeiku Crentsil from challenging the just-ended Parliamentary results.
The parliamentary candidate for the Ekumfi Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ato Cudjoe won the seat according to certified election results from the EC.
Ato Cudjoe polled 12,014 valid votes to beat the incumbent Abeiku Crentsil of the NDC who polled 11,482.
Though the defeated MP has vowed to challenge the election results in court, the youth said it is unnecessary. They also set his vehicle ablaze alleging that he had ballot boxes in them.
The youth also threatened to kill the Abeiku Crentsil if he attempts to challenge the election results in his constituency.

The incumbent told us to burn his car if NDC looses the election and he got his people to do just as he said. This is very bad cos it tarnish the image of our country, lets grow up in politics talks, yamin bet with his car just as Owusu bempah also said we should burn his church if Nana looses.
You still speak no sense at all, yes we want change but not phooolish behaviou like what they are doing and u are just like those people, this is still happening in JM's time so talk with sense cos the negativity of it affect the nation as a whole but still no one can destroy the image os the NPP. The law must enforced. I heard the man challenged if he loose that seat they should burn his car and they did what he said, Cheap talks during politics just as yamin used his car to bed and mzbel also said he will move to Burkina if JM looses. We should think before talking during politics
This is not good at all and also does not reflect the personality of the MP elect. I suggest the MP elect calls his supporters to order and let peace prevail. Also the Police at Essarkyir should call for enforcement to help nib this unfortunate act in the bud before it generates into something else. EKUMFI NEEDS PEACE
WELL WELL WELL,,, THIS IS THE CHANGE THEY ASKED FOR.... A PORTRAYAL OF THE DNA OF THE LEADER OF THE PARTY... SO WHAT ELSE SHOULD WE EXPECT???? IF HE HAS NO PROBLEMS KILLING HIS OWN PARTY FAITHFULS TO SACRIFICE FOR THIS SHORT LIVED VICTORY FOR HIM. AS I PERCEIVED IT.
In fact, this bad
Are we gone see much of this in this new Era.......is that the change......the court is for the people......even the 2012 presidential election was challenged.......wasting close to one year.........is that the patapaaaa syndrome being unleashed.
