Mr Paul Awentami Afoko has disclosed that Ghanaians have reposed much confidence in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) which will be forming the next government on January 7, 2016.
This according to him was manifested at the December 7 poll,s stating that the party cannot afford to let them down after being entrusted with the destiny of the country.
On his Christmas and New Year message in a release issued and signed by him on Saturday December 24, 2016, he stated, “I pray for God’s blessings for everyone and urge members of our party to use the yuletide to do a self-introspection with the view to reforming our conduct for the good of the party and country.
These festivities come at a time the party has won power and is patiently waiting to form the next government on January 7, 2016. I therefore wish to use this opportunity to urge all and sundry in the party to conduct themselves in a manner that resonates the ideals and ideologies of the NPP.
Ghanaians expect a lot from us and we must not dare to disappoint them.
Let us not be averse to dissenting and opposing views of issues within the party and see persons with such opinions as members who lack loyalty to their party. This new behavior does not resonate with us and is also driving potential members and sympathizers away.
The great Dr K. A. Busia of blessed memory reminded us that, “The real test of a democracy is not just the right of a minority to disagree, but the right of an individual to disagree with the majority and still feel secure.”
As we celebrate the birth of Christ, let us also remember our leaders in prayers and thank God for seeing us through a peaceful election. May the New Year bring us abundant blessings and may we remain united and serve as a model of democracy to other African countries”

Listen to what the traitor is saying. Dont you have an iota of shame in you?. go and enjoy THE booty you received from NDC. FIRE BURN YOU! YOUR MOTHER!
Afoko is human, and perhaps didn't know what he was doing at the time. Time to forgive him, his ilk, and surge on. NPP us greater than all and as such we need to work towards the greater good of the party to inure benefits for the Ghanaian populace at large. Long live Ghana, long live NPP.
Those trying to push Akofo should be careful. We are not sleeping yet. In what capacity was he talking to say we shouldn't disappoint Ghanaians? I see Afoko and all those people as traitors who were waiting to celebrate and tell us an I told you so story. Today, they are the first to advice us. were they expecting us to win? when they were dining with our enemies only to come and put up a good smile to us as if they were working for us.
Nsem fu ye ahi!. so this guy has no shame eeeeeeh! please dont come near the elephant else you will regret. we the foot soldiers will resist any attempt by the NEC of our party to reinstate you. you are not to be trusted after all we won the elections without you.
You sold your conscience to the devil and today you want to be heard. Point of correction, say you and NOT we because you never desired to see the NPP under the leadership of Nana Addo winning the 2016 Presidential election. Know that if you dare part take of any success or benefit by Nana Addo's government you will remain forever cursed. You would have made much sense if your press release was rather meant to render an unqualified apology for the mess you caused the party before it's historic victory. Paul Afoko you are evil and i hate to watch, read, hear or know anything about you devil!
hooo u see ur eye die? wannyi na ewu no. next time u will learn sense.
BAM, EWE MAN, YOU HAVE HIT THE NAIL RIGHT ON THE HEAD ''YOU AND WHO''
Did he say we ??? I rest my case
