Spokesperson for the 2016 Presidential candidate for the Convention People's Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh has commended President Nana Akufo-Addo and former President John Dramani Mahama for intervening in the Gambian situation.
It could be recalled that President Akufo-Addo assigned former President John Mahama to represent him at an ECOWAS mini-summit at Gambia.
The team comprising former President John Mahama, President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria and H.E Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia among others was in Gambia to settle the political crisis in the country.
Friday, January 20, 2017, Gambia's Ex-President, Yahya Jammeh conceded defeat by announcing that he was finally stepping down for his successor.
Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Kabila applauded the efforts by the leaders in mediating a settlement between the outgone President Yahya Jammeh and President Adama Barrow of Gambia.
Also addressing the issue on the programme, NDC Communicator Ernest Brogya Gyamfi called on African leaders to take a cue from Gambia's political conflict.
He advised the leaders to learn a big lesson and not seek to replicate the behaviour of the Gambian Ex-President.
