Ghana's former High Commissioner to India, Lawyer Sam Pee Yalley, has described as a "cock and bull" story, the claim that over 200 state vehicles are missing.
“No single vehicle is missing…what is this cock and bull story that 200 and something vehicles are missing; how… How come we cannot trace cars used by immediate past president when even cars used by Kwame Nkrumah are parked in the state house? It is a joke” he said.
The Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, earlier this week revealed that there are over 200 cars unaccounted for at the Flagstaff House’s vehicle pool following the change in government on January 7, 2017.
He said this was detected after the assessment of five car models in the car pool inventory of the Flagstaff House.
“Just these five models account for 208 vehicles which we strangely cannot find,” Mr. Arhin said speaking to the media.
However, contributing to a panel discussion on Radio Gold’s Alhaji and Alhaji, Sam Pee Yalley was emphatic that 'no car is missing' and that the Nana Addo-led administration is using the claim to create disaffection for the previous administration.
According to him, the issue is creating a bad impression for the country in the international world; adding what should have been done was to call those responsible to investigate the whereabouts of those cars instead of taking it to the media.
“…and you think you are doing politics? It is rather tarnishing our image in the international world…these are all vote gimmicks; stop it. Arhin (Eugene Arhin) stop that joke; this country is not for small boys and girls; this country is a matured country stop that joke….complaining that those cars are missing shows your own incompetence. For me…no one single car has been missing or stolen; the cars are there” he stated.

Sam pee "BULL" Yalley
STOP BEATING ABOUT THE ***barred word***. NDC/MAHAMBOLE WERE TOTALLY DEFEATED BY NOO/NANA ADDO. NDC HAD NO POINT TO GO TO COURT. REMEMBER HOW AFARI GYAN, AFTER RIGGING FOR THE INCOMPETENT MAHAMBOLE SWEATED AT THE COURT? THE WHOLE EC BOSS, DR AFARI GYAN COULDN'T DEFINE 'OVER-VOTING. PLEASE TALK SENSE!!
SAM PEE YALLEY....HAS NO CREDIBILITY. REMEMBER WHAT HE DID TO NKESEN ARKAA?
Just because national media will pick up the story we should keep quite for uselesss Mahama and his cronies should keep on stealing?
These are the half brain people. Where is the pension fund? Why did you collaborate with those ethnic bros to use the money to purchase merchant bank. Wait andsee. Nsawam awaits you
Nana Addo's administration is the most ungrateful I have ever seen. When you won the election, the NDC did not dispute with you nine months in court as you did in 2012. They handed over to you very peacefully and cooperated with you in the transition period. What you are now doing is paying them back evil for the good they have done. The nana addo administration has so smeared the Mahama administration that I do not know how they and their family members are going to make it in the next few days. The npp has tagged them as ***barred word*** and that word is dangerous. Call someone a ***barred word*** in Accra and see if the person will not be lynched. BUT this too shall pass. Kwame Nkrumah was painted the blackest and most evil president ever lived in the late 60s but hey, you cannot paint gold black, a little time and it would continue to shine again. Even rawlings who is singing the tune of nana addo was a victim of such painting and denigration when people believed that he was behind the killing of the nine high court judges but today he is walking free. Very soon Ghanaians will begin to see who is speaking the truth nana addo and his 'angels' or Mahama and his 'accomplices'.
Animaaaaaaal,go away
Yes, the world must know what happens here in Ghana. What is embarrassing about the BBC discussing this issue? Former government officials sold cars to themselves for a mere pittance.
MATURE AS YOU SAY, IF NDC HAD THE AFFAIRS OF THIS COUNTRY AT HEART AND EXHIBITED PATRIOTSM AND COMPENTENCE ALL THESE WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENING, NOW SAM PEE YALLEY ALL OF A SUDDEN IS TALKING ABOUT INTERNATIONAL IMAGE, WILL THAT IMAGE CORRECT THE WRONG? STOP ATTACKING AND TELL US THE TRUTH, BE FAIR IN YOUR SUBMISSIONS TOO
