Some Youth Organizers of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC] say their members are not ready to play a part in any 'unnecessary' demonstration against the ruling New Patriotic Party.
The Youth Organizers believe the Organizer of the demonstration, Sidii Abubakar who is also the National Youth Organizer of the NDC contributed to the defeat of the NDC in the last elections hence they will not listen and follow him to partake in the intended protest march.
Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed 'Ghana Montie', the NDC Youth Organizer of the Fanteakwa South constituency, Mark Okraku said Sidii Abubarkar could not mobilize the NDC youth during the elections period to canvas votes for the party.
He described Sidii Abubakar as a 'failure' after commending NPP’s Sammy Awuku for his tremendous organization that ensured his party’s victory.
“We have better things doing and our members will not leave their jobs to join such needless protest against the NPP. What did the youth organizer [Sidi] do to help the NDC youth?” he questioned.
Sidi Abubakar is scheduled to lead the youth of the NDC coming Friday to demonstrate against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over the seizure of NDC officials' state vehicles.
But before the protest, Mark Okraku among other regional organizers say they are not interested in the protest and have urged their followers to ignore their National Organizer.
“Sidi should have been that vibrant during the elections not now. The boys are hungry just because we did not secure them jobs. So why must they go and protest on an empty stomach, baseless!” He told host Kwesi Aboagye.
However, the National Youth Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Sidii Abubakar Musah broke his silence on his role in the 2016 campaigns of the party that culminated in its electoral defeat.
Mr. Sidii Musah has come under a barrage of criticisms from the youth of the party for being ineffective and inefficient compared to his colleague Sammy Awuku of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who was a major force to reckon with.
The NDC stalwart claims he was starved of logistics and literally neglected because the youth wing was not factored into the national campaign structure hence his inability to function as expected by the youth who reposed confidence in him and made him their National Youth Organiser.
“This is the first time a campaign team was set up and the National Youth Organizer was not part of it. I tried as much as possible to make my presence felt and ensure that we channeled all programmes towards alleviating the plight of the youth, but what do you do if you have been taken off;...maybe is a strategy failure,” Sidii told Accra-based Radio Gold.

THIS IS THE FIRST STEP FOR THE YOUTH TO ACT WISELY. YOU HAVE NO WORK IN MAHAMA NDC. NOW AKKUFO ADDO IS GETTING READY FOR WORK. POSITION YOURSELVES FOR JOBS AND NOT DEMONSTRATIONS
Interesting time here! A National Organiser who did not have funds and logistics to carry out an effective duty during a serious national exercise as general election and lost the elections in a humiliating style now has money to organised a demonstration. Where did he now find the funds and logistics to organise people to fight for greedy bastards who have stolen state assets? The NDC youth are now enlightened and would not avail themselves fro fruitless venture like fighting for Kofi Adams, Okudjeto Ablakwa and all those kids with sharp teeth and greedy bastards. I rest my case.
Frankly ; any right thinking Ghanaian will be very surprised at the need to go on any demostration against this infant NPP government of Nana Addo ; does these NDC youth organisers think everybody in the NDC are ediots without any brains; why on earth do these NDC 'varanda boys want to waste their time fighting for people like Kofi Adams ; Koku ; Asiedu Nketia ; Felix kwakye ; Agyim Boateng; Dr Boama etc !!!!!; today they have stolen goverment cars and lutted government funds through contracts and sold cars themselves ; Kofi Adams has the cheek to tell Ghanaians that his children do not have a car to go to school ; how many NDC varanda boys who have have enough money to hire even a taxi for their children let alone own a car ; these big shots in the NDC have lutted cash meant for these varanda boys but today that the NDC are struggling in opposition they want somebody to go and demostrate for them ; WHY SHOULD THESE 'VARANDA BOYS WITH NO MONEY : NO WORK WASTE THEIR TIME TO GO AND FIGHT FOR KOFI ADAMS WHO IS TODAY ENJOYING AND Has the nerve to TELL GHANAIANS THAT HE LEFT A LOAD OF CASH IN THE THE CARS ; WHERE DID KOFI ADAMS GET ALL THESE FROM ; THE NDC SHOULD INVESTIGATE THIS AYIGBE /EWE THIFFMAN WHO DO THESE NDC KRIMINALS THINK THEY ARE FULLING !!!!!!!!; ALL GRASS ROOTS SHOULD JUST NOT GET INVOLVE IN THIS DEMOSTRATION; JUST GO AND FIND SOMETHING TO DO !!!!!!FOR YOURSELVES BECAUSE KOFI ADAMS AND OTHERS DO NOT GIVE A DAMM ABOUT YOU !!!!!!
DEMONSTRATE AGAINST WHAT?
Mr. Youth Organizer, you have misplaced your priorities so far as your party is concerned. When the NDC big wigs neglected you, what did you tell the youth of the party? You enjoyed your booty and forgot to do your work effectively. Now that you are in opposition, you want to demonstrate against a ruling party that has been in power for only 6 weeks. Or, your work as Youth Organizer is to demonstrate against opposition parties but neglect to work hard to maintain your party in power. NDC youth, you have been short-changed. Now they want to use you as cannon fodder, that while you wallow in poverty and deprivation, your so-called big shots and their wives and children will continue to enjoy their booty, even in opposition. USE YOUR HEADS!
