Former appointees under the erstwhile John Mahama-led administration have started receiving their end of service benefit popularly known as ex-gratia.
The former appointees especially ministers, their deputies and former Members of Parliament are being directed to the Flagstaff House for their packages. According to Starr News sources, former appointees are sent a WhatsApp message after which they are directed to specific individuals at the seat of government for their cheque.
One of such appointees is former Roads and Highways Minister Inusah Fuseini.
The Tamale Central lawmaker in an interview with Starr News said he only came to terms that the Mahama administration is out of power after he got to the Flagstaff House for his benefit.
“I received a WhatsApp message that my end of service benefit as a minister was ready…initially when I got there, I parked my car outside and I was told I was a former minister so I should park inside.
“When I parked and was going into the Flagstaff House I just went straight into the scanner but was stopped and for the first time I realized there was a change of government.”
The ex-gratia is a lump sum paid to all officials who fall under the 71 office holders of the 1992 constitution. The payment is made after a new administration takes office.

politicians nation wreckles
Those who are not happy can choose to be politicians too. He is entitled to it per the constitution ***barred word*** people.
you were given the chance to park ur car inside so wht else where u expecting? maybe u expected them to bring the cheque to ur house right. No condition is permanent wai so now some people will see their smoothness levels
and for the first time I realized there was a change of government. By the way, are you still dreaming that you are in power, hence some of your behaviour, really you are a day-dreamer.
I am anxious to see Omane Boamah (PhD) when he goes there and how he will feel.
no fairness in our land, politicians av drain us big time as a nation
No condition is permanent. Now instead of whining and bending out of shape over this why don't you just thank God and go your way?! You're rather fortunate. Think about all the ministers and ambassadors and political appointees under Nkrumah who were simply sent away after the coup and during the PNDC era were told that there was nothing for them! So, zip your mouth and stop complaining. Enjoy your ESB and the loot you've accumulated over the years! Phucking man!
On top of it he took his almost brand new car away when a public servant who has worked for over 30 years is not allowed to purchase an 8 year old vehicle under the Mahama administration. ***barred word*** bastards
and in spite of all the swiftness they are being paid that they are complaining
Next time, dont be a teacher wai. Asuwer
