The Assin Central lawmaker, Hon Kennedy Ohene Agyepong has expressed joy over some perceived corrupt acts which have greeted Akufo Addo government in its first year in office.
According to him, his happiness is borne out of the fact that he has on several occasions warned against certain saboteurs planted in the various ministries by the Mahama administration to denigrate Akufo Addo’s government, but his warnings fell on deaf ears.
Speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam on Tuesday December 26, 2017, Hon. Agyepong averred he is happy to be vindicated as every prediction he made about the move to tarnish the name Akufo Addo is materializing; adding that the government now has the chance to correct all such wrongs by sacking the saboteurs holding certain key positions.
“I will start with Hawa Koomson’s ministry [Special Development Initiative]; I have always said certain people must be sacked from their position. How can you send someone who was appointed by Mahama to a new ministry to act as Chief Director? When you complain then you see some of own people due to tribal linings defending them and resisting any attempt to ship them out.”
“NPP is behaving as if they understand democracy more than the Queen of England....until we sack such people they will continue to create problems for us. Now, we have our own NPP people leading the opposition NDC to get position in the government. But I am happy it has happened earlier under the first year; we have the opportunity to change things in the next year,” he charged.
To him, it would not matter if President Akufo Addo becomes even one term President but is able to do what is right for the country. Hon. Kennedy Agyepong therefore urged Akufo Addo government to clamp down on individuals in certain public agencies working under the cover of darkness to sabotage the government, as that will pave way for development.

Touching on the recent extortion claims by the Minority following the organisation of Ghana Expatriate Business Awards where some expatriate businessmen were allegedly levied between $25,000 and $100,000 to reserve seats at the event which had President Akufo-Addo in attendance, the maverick politician slammed the Ministry of Trade and Industry for their role in the saga.
He was however of the strong view that "the President didn’t know anything about this and you do this to disgrace him”.
“The President has worked hard to get to where he is today. Most of these things are at the blind side of Nana Akufo Addo. We have come together to build the nation; Nana Akufo Addo, put your feet on the ground and deal with the people who want to tag you with corruption”, he urged the President.
Meanwhile, Speaker of Parliament Professor Mike Aaron Oquaye, has recalled Members of Parliament from recess to enable the House consider a motion filed by the Minority with regards to the alleged extortion of $100,000 from expatriate businessmen by the Trade Ministry during the awards ceremony held in Accra.
The lawmakers are expected to appear on the floor on Friday, 5 January 2018.

INCOMPETENT & CORRUPT NPP. Turning 80,000 to 800,000 is an intent to steal from the people of this country. Taking 100,000 each from exparts to sit close to Akufo Addo is selling access to the highest bidder. These corrupt acts must be punished.
Who is evil apart from nppits self is it a majority members who told npp ministers to collect 100 thousand dollars from expatriates pls npp supporters grow up because u claimed to be more knowledgeable dan anybody but u behave live uselessssss and incompetent group who cannot read nor listens to ur own leaders but I can assure you come 2020 npp will be hot because de elephant will go back into de ***barred word*** to chew bushes
Akufu-Addo: The power to collect TV license fee stems from two military decrees passed by NLC and PNDC respectively which can only be considered anachronistic. The laws of Ghana include all those laws that have not been superseded by bills passed into law by the fourth republic. Since the two laws were decrees it will be prudent for the current cabinet to consider the issue and place a bill before parliament. If this is not done the revenue that would be collected would end up in the pockets of a few people. Cabinet must look for a more prudent way to collect the tv license fee. Collecting the fee at our ports through CEPS is a more elegant way. We must replace all the PNDC decrees that have not been superseded by acts passed into law by parliaments of the fourth republic.
Thumps up, a thousand times to you, Ken. Akuffo Addo himself is the moat guilty in this regard. He behaves as if he is the only human rights lawyer the world has produced. The same goes for the top NPP executives. They know and understand democracy more than the Greeks who introduced this system of governance. They can go on and behave as this way and they will find themselves in opposition in ho time. My only regret when that happens is that, Ghana will be the loser.
There is a systematic plan by the evil party NDC to soil Nana with corruption.it started with the allegation against boakye agyarko to finance minister etc. The ***barred word*** is desperate . They want power again to steal all the BAUXITE in Ghana. ***barred word***. Check and balances at the flaggstaff house is weak. Can we have the bigwigs at the presidency to advise Jeff Sackey to settle matters with his patners before that issue is blown off of propulsion. SIT UP NPP
KEN HAS REITERATED WHAT I’VE ALWAYS SAID Amidu’s revelation is not far from the truth. Shortly after the Akuffo- Addo administration was sworn into office, some of us made a lot of presentations and comments eg on this platform: that due to the unprecedented allegations of corruption against the John Cribo Mahama’s administration; it will be very imperative for the current administration to fire almost every Tom, ***barred word*** and Harry who would be considered a top brass and appointed by the former corrupt administration. Notable amongst them are those Chief Directors and CEO’s who were appointed by the criminal Mahama administration. People like my humble self knew for sure that, these loose cannons were going to be snitches and snags against Nana’s government. Our pleas were not fully considered, because of Nana’s beliefs in equality and the status quo anti; and also the tagging of the mass firings and pressures that was emanating from the otherside of the political aisle. But now considering what is happening now, it definitely looks like we are vindicated. Talking about this criminal Woyome; many people would be shocked that Woyome, according to a reliable sources; is offered yet another juicy contract by a Mahama appointee, who is the Chief Director of Ministry of Transport, a guy who goes by the name Ankrah Selby. Hopefully his actions will be investigated by this revelations. Another department that Akuffo-Addo administration should consider empaneling must be in the form of a BUSINESS INTEGRITY COMMISSION; if we want to stamp out corruption completely from Ghana. If such a commission was available, people like Woyome could never enjoy any contact from the government sector. Because every company or a business man — that’s blacklisted by the commission — would be publish for individuals and entities to be warned of engaging in business — with that scofflaw, and also to serve as a deterrent— that any individual or entity that engages in business deals with such individuals and entities does them at their own peril. What is the news from the presidency about Jefferson Sackey defrauding someone of Liberia election campaign branding cash?
It's REAL not perceived. Were not the same person who told the whole world you have to pay $20,000 before you see the president at the flagstaff house. Jinapor and Aplus Saga. Jefferson Sackey defrauding young guys over Liberia election campaign branding cash. 110 Ministers couldn’t monitor stealing in President Akufo Addo ‘s Government.
Sometimes I wonder why some i-d-i-o-s claim to be sympathizers of NPP still have the gut to i-n-s-u-l-t northerners. If not because of Bawumia a northerner who conferences upon conferences saying all sort lies about the government then and throwing dust into eyes of Ghanaians and made Ghanaians to belief in NPP like Nana Addo is not president as we talk now. Any who want to challenge me can do that research. Yet some of you still think northerners add up to nothing in NPP.I wonder how Bawumia will feel when he hear some of in-s-u-l-t-s
Why don't NPP create their own new nation and rule it with only NPP people. Non***barred word***!!!. Were there not NPP saboteurs in government places during the NDC era?? Politics is making some people loose their minds.
Master kleptomaniac Don Biko are you serious !!!!!; what ken is saying is correct ; the removal public/civil servants happens all over the world ; you do not need to sack these politically minded NDC saboteurs in order to trigger industrial relations laws ;all you need to do is to do a bit of intelligence work on them and depending on the gravity of their alliance all transfer them to any part of the civil service ; you could send or transfer them anywhere in Ghana ; if they from the north you send them to the Volta Region ; Mr saw dust coconut head -Don Biko idiotic full you do not need to fire anybody in the civil service ; there are sinister ways to go round it if you think saboteurs want to wreck your political agenda ; Donald Trump does it all the time in the US!!!!; in Ghana you can even sack these people if you want ; their choice to is to go to court but knowing the legal system in Ghana it will take years to get any proper compensation ; this Ghana we are talking about not the US or UK -STOOOOOPID idiotic donkey
