President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo must apologise to Ghanaians for the unrealistic promises he made during the 2016 elections campaign season, Cassiel Ato Forson, Member of Parliament for Ejumako Enyan Essiam and former Deputy Minister of Finance, has said.
According to him, the Akufo-Addo-led government is struggling to find revenue to undertake development projects to fulfil his promises.
In the lead-up to the 2016 campaigns, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) promised to establish a factory in each of the districts across the country.
The party also promised to introduce free Senior High School (SHS), build a dam in every farming hamlet in the three regions up north among others.
The government has been able to commence the Free SHS programme and also launched the One District-One Factory programme, but is yet to fulfil the other promises.
Speaking on Class FM Wednesday, 25 April, Mr Forson said: “President Akufo-Addo must apologise to Ghanaians for the unrealistic promises he made because he knows he won’t be able to fulfil those promises.
“He should apologise just as President Kufuor did. President Kufuor promised a lean government but never gave a lean government and he apologised for that, so, Mr Akufo-Addo must do same.”
He further noted that the government is engaged in unnecessary expenditure and that has negatively affected the economy.
“The government must cut down on some unnecessary expenditure in order not to throw the economy off gear,” he said.

Why should NPP apologize to Ghanaians? The NDC had a PONZI scheme to cheat farmers in the Brong region and now the double salary?
This is ironic!
Another blockhead
first apologise to your costituents at Enyan Denkyira and Breman and others.Apart from Ajumanko and Besease, what have you done for the rest of the towns? Ma yen dwen nyen ho.
SEE HIS TEETH
as for this guy he ***barred word*** paaa ooo!!!
Instead of you people using your useful time to tell Ghanaians what you can do for them should you ever come to power, you are asking for an apology. Did you apologize when you told Ghanaians you will make the National Health Insurance one term premium? You came to power to create loot and share so where do you think Akuffo Addo will get the money to do those developmental projects you are talking of. You came to power to steal, kill and destroy all that Kuffour left. This time Nana will not allow you to lie to Ghanaians just a year after you were booted out of power to come and destroy everything he is taking his time to rectify and send us back. If you have Ghana at heart you would't take double salary. Press Conference Party.
