The Minister for Inner Cities and Zongo Development, Dr. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, has made a public commitment that Tafo Zongo in the Ashanti Region will get a drainage system soon.
The construction of a drainage system has become imperative because of perennial flooding in the community.
The Minister made the commitment when he visited the Chief of Tafo Zongo, Alhaji Yussif Chibsah at his palace.
Dr. Abdul- Hamid disclosed that technical officers of the Ministry have already taken the measurements and completed the costing for the project.
He told the Chief and his sub chiefs that the drainage project has been factored in the Ministry’s 2019 budget estimates.
Chief Alhaji Chibsah however praised the Minister for giving them the assurance for the construction of that drainage system and thanked the Minister and his team for the visit.
