National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Kofi Adams is asking the National Executive Committee to peg filing fees for the flagbearer position of the party at five hundred thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc 500,000.00 )
He says the opposition party needs funds as the NDC prepares for election 2020.
Speaking on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he explained that though the party has not taken a decision yet, he will suggest to them to raise the filing fee higher.
"If you are ready to lead the party, you should be financially resourceful to raise money for the party for all its campaign activities," he said.
"You must equally be financially sound. If you cannot pay for your filing fees, how then are you able to lead a party that will need more funds to go into election 2020?" he quizzed.
Some have suggested that the filing fees for the flagbearership position of the party will be around three hundred and fifty thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc350,000), but Mr. Adams says he would rather the executives raises it to above that figure (Ghc350,000) to five hundred thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc 500,000).

NDC commissions planning committees for national congress
Leadership of the NDC last week commissioned various planning committees in preparation towards its upcoming national congress.
The congress slated for November 3, will see the election of various national executive officers to take over administration of the party into the 2020 elections.
Mr. Kofi Adams, National Organizer of the party, said all is set for the committees to deliver on their mandate.
“The congress committee inaugurated will immediately plan into action. The various committees that have been put in place are calculated to achieve that objective,” he noted.
The party few weeks ago also elected executives to lead the party at the regional level.
After congress, processes for electing a flagbearer to lead the party will begin.
So far 11 NDC gurus, including former President John Dramani Mahama, have declared their intention to lead the party. However, political analysts believe the number could increase before the close of nomination ahead of the showdown on December 7, 2018, two clear years before the 2020 general elections.

Funny ndc. Is it not this very bunch of thievesss who complained that, you don't have to be rich to serve the country? So what happened? Confused bunch.
Recipe for on-going corrupt practices
As NPP is seen to be stealing public funds, our aspirants must be seen going to the people asking for coins to help raise one million for filing. In that case we will possess the party. The person who wins the primaries will be compelled to rove in the other losing aspirants for National Campaigns and eventual position in the next administration.
I support one million Cedis filing fees but the contribution must be seen to be coming from the mass following of each aspirants. Each aspirants should turn their campaigns into fund raising rallies to allow grassroots participation. Any aspirant who can’t organize this can’t lead the party. Our party elders must rise to the occasion and not treat any aspirants in kids gloves. It’s time to be serious.
How NDC handles this filing fees will determine whether they’re a serious party in 2020. It’s about education
If NDC can have the courage to peg their filing fees at one million, then the party has become truly a serious party and can easily win the next election. It means mobilization is at its greatest height.
You see how politicians are fooooooooooliing pathetic Ghanaians? Ghanafuo di333 mu ye mobo oooo...this can't happen in the states...NDC are just evil!!!!
In fact I’ll suggest the filing fee is pegged at 1000000 (One Million Ghs) It doesn’t mean the position is for sale. It simply means the best of the party who are the Lresidential aspirants should mobililze their supporters to donate towards the filing which will eventually help the party raise funds for the Big campaign after the internal primaries. And any Presidential aspirants who protest this must not be taken serious. Because if you’re sure of winning the election and not in for a comic relief, won’t you rather be happy that your other contestants are going to contribute to your eventual campaign. The huge amount will also make the losers to remain committed to the party after their loss so that they can assist in the National Campaign. Another advantage for a higher filing fee is that, the government will not dare to sponsor a candidate just to muddy the water for the party. We will use their filing fees to clean the mess. Eleven aspirants will fetch the party 11.000000 eleven millions of Ghana Cedis. Anybody who can’t mobilize that amount is simply there to waste our time and where doe the person expect the party to get funds to campaign for him to become President.
ndc people are rich oo... this shows they really looted the state paaa. in opposition mpo nie... 500,000GHS? hmmmm
Very sad in this country if Politicians in Ghana pay huge amount of money to gain power what do we see today ..Oh Ghana my mother land ?? When again ...I can't even imagine the debt stock today ...God will be our savior !!
