First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party in Asokwa Constituency, Edmund Kyei has said former President John Mahama is “confused” and doesn't deserve to lead the country again.
In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Mr. Kyei said Mahama's recent utterances don’t depict that of a leader.
"You see, for former President Mahama to blame almost everyone for his defeat including his party leadership shows a clear lapse in leadership. If he as a President can't connect to his party grassroots how will he be in a good position to bond with the Ghanaian masses," he said.
Ex-president Mahama on a four day tour of the Central region has revealed that the party lost the election because campaign funds and logistics did not get to the grassroots.
“I laughed when I heard him say he'll teach NPP better governance; honestly, he needs more governance lessons than any government that ever ruled.
"Mahama led an incompetent team to loot resources and left the country broke. It's a shame to hear him say these."
"For a misogynistic party like the NDC that has failed in the advancement of the cause of the Ghanaian people to promise better governance is sad," he added.
Mr. Kyei however said it's unspeakable for Mahama to blame God for his 2016 loss.
"You see God isn't interested in the affairs of the NDC. A party that took the country back to slavery, we became slaves in our own country during their tenure; it was an era of see and say no evil. Ghanaians have had enough already; he should just leave God out of this. Bad Leaders never learn or grow. They make the same mistakes over and over again. Proverbs 26:11-12 answers Mahama. The Bible says and I quote - As a dog returns to its vomit, so fools repeat their folly. Do you see a man wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for them. There is little hope for half-witted leaders like him," Edmund Kyei said.
