Broadcaster and host of Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Kwami Sefa Kayi says Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu should resign if he thinks he cannot cope with the challenges in his line of duty.
According to Mr. Sefa Kayi, affectionately called Chairman General, Mr. Amidu understood the terms and conditions associated with his outfit before accepting to become Ghana's Special Prosecutor; therefore he should tone down.
Martin Amidu has expressed resentments over the conduct of some government officials saying they're not cooperating with his outfit in the fight against corruption.
He stated emphatically it is practically impossible for him to execute his mandate as Special Prosecutor if the friction between his outfit and the appointees of President Akufo-Addo not assisting him is eliminated.
“You ask for information you can’t get it, you ask for docket, the docket cannot be produced. You ask a minister for a record, the record cannot be produced. How do you fight corruption when those appointed by the president who has a vision are not coordinating with the office of the special prosecutor to achieve his mandate? That is the challenge we have to face", he stated.
But Chairman General believes if for some reason one commits himself to a job and the resources or the conditions promised are not forthcoming, or the person feels he or she is deliberately being sabotaged, the person has the liberty to jump ship.
"If he (Amidu) feels he cannot do the work, he should just quit”.
“He should stop work…If he thinks he cannot cope, he should stop work", he said on his platform.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE STUPIDOOOOS IN GHANA? MARTIN AMIDU SHOULD WORK HAND IN HAND WITH AKUFFO ADDO IF THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO.IF MARTIN AMIDU IS NOT GETTING THE TOOLS HE NEEDS FROM ANY GOVERNMENT APPOINTEE,THAT APPOINTEE SHOULD BE TREATED AS A TRAITOR AND SACKED.WHAT IS ALL THIS ***barred word*** AND EXCUSES.MARTIN AMIDU SHOULD DO THE WORK AND STOP COMPLAINING. HE KNOWS THE PRESIDENTS OFFICE.IF PEOPLE ARE MAKING THINGS DIFFICULT FOR HIM, HE SHOULD REPORT THEM TO THE PRESIDENT.
Ei, these npp apparatchiks have started attacking amidu for speaking his mind! They know martin amidu would very soon descend on them so they are beginning to attack him to quit.
I think Mr. Amidu is looking for excuses to quit the job. i know this man. he doesnt like pressure. he will quit very soon. he is coming out with all these accusations so that when he quits ple will not say he is a weakling. but he forgot that those who complains abt everything are failures. i am beginning to think that this whole thing abt the Special Prosecutor is only for mind games and will go no where. the man will quit very soon.
It is not in the interest of the powers that be for Amidu to work. They know that he is callous and will go after even Npp members so why should they give him the tools to work? Ken Agyapong has registered his displeasure in this appointment. He said it in plain language that due to Amidus past behaviour towards the NDC, a party which he is a founding member of, he will do less to the NPP.
I agree 100%. Today this, tomorrow that. He should just ***barred word*** and work!
