Inusah Fuseini, Former Minister of Roads has accused the Akufo-Addo-led administration of abandoning the completion of the footbridges on the main Adenta-Madina highway resulting in pedestrian killings.
According to him even though the project was not completed under the Mahama administration, the Akufo-Addo--led should have completed it by now.
Speaking on Kasapa FM Friday, he said “before I left office, it was only left with the footbridges we had to work on…..we did everything, the only safety mechanism left on the road was to complete the footbridges. This is why am saying that, if government had prioritized the project this wouldn’t have happened because I left all the documents with them and the ministry of highway knows about it. The contractor was on site working before I left the ministry and so if the contractor had been ordered and facilitated, enabled to go back to site, this death we are experiencing, wouldn’t have happened at all”
According to him, the project was part of the “gang of four” which was started by President Kufour. It has no dedicated source of funding……during our time, on yearly basis, we allocate funds for the completion of the project. So I ask, 1st January 2017 to the end, how much was paid to the contractor to go and complete the outstanding work, on 1st January until now, how much was paid to the contractor to go back to site”

The NDC has no moral justification to blame the NPP or the current administration for the confusion on the Adenta Highway. This is a project we all agreed has helped to reshape activities on the stretch of the road. After handing over the administration of Government to the NDC what did they do? The Minister of Road and Highways allocated a luxurious car to himself for monitoring the work on the project. The former President was inaugurating half completed footbridges on sections of the highway. to say in our local parlance THEY DID NOT DO TEEN. The Nsawam to Suhum stretch of the Accra to Kumasi Highway is suffereing from the same neglect. There are serious accidents on this road because the dual carriage way has been left undone since the NPP handed over power to the NDC. These were left only for a flyover at Circle to be constructed and christened Dubai. Why did we not complete the Adenta Highway and the Nsawam to Suhum road before completing the so called Dubai? Even with the Dubai flyover, safe pedestrian crossings by the NPP have all been destroyed. There are no safe crossings now at Circle Dubai. You will always find pedestrians hustling through moving vehicles especially around the VVIP station moving to the lorry park at the Neoplan Station. There used to be a safe flyover where is it now. Why was it not replaced? I AM ON STAND BY.
Just read on Ghanaweb reconstruction of Makola No. 2 market is set to begin. And I asked Didn't John "Infrastructure" Mahama know the market was burnt almost a decade ago? It leads one to wonder where John Infrastructure Mahama was doing his shopping for foodstuffs. Nine years is a long time for the market not to be constructed. That is almost a decade. Those market women and men, major contributors to our economy have really suffered, almost 10 years, terrible. Is it not a similar situation we are witnessing here with the footbridges? Personally left for me, we should rather put light rails on it. That's what we need.
How do you blame the present Government. I am really sure that you are not NORMAL BUT ***barred word***.What did your Government NDC did during the term in office. You personally, your were doing nothing but only silly things and at the same time receiving double pay. ARE YOU MAD. DO YOU LOVE GHANA. PERSON LIKE YOU. GO AWAY AND STAY IN POSITION. FUCCCCKEN MAN LIKE YOU. IDIOTA.
This loud mouth and very corrupt former Minister of Road should ***barred word*** his mouth, In modern history, there's no road under construction that should take good eight years and still not have it completed within the eight years period. The Adenta Road construction project was no exception and for Inusah Fuseni to blatantly put his incompetency, unpatriotic and self righteousness aside and blame or excoriate Nana Akuffo-Addo for his own ineptitude to complete the Adenta road construction project under his watch is a complete hypocrisy and absurd. The same blame goes to former President Mahama for his ineptitude and his lack of concern for the development of Ghana and his disinterest in the welfare of ordinary Ghanaian people during his administration.
I'M GOING TO BET MY LAST PESEWA THAT THE APPROVED FUNDS FOR THIS PROJECT WAS SQUANDERED BY THE NDC NATION WRECKERS WHO ARE NOW SCREAMING ON TOP OF THEIR VOICES. I ONLY FAULT NANA ADDO AND NPP FOR ALLOWING THE NDC ***barred word*** GANG FOR WALKING FREE AND INSULTING OUR INTELLIGENCE...
