Inusah Fuseini, Former Minister of Roads has accused the Akufo-Addo-led administration of abandoning the completion of the footbridges on the main Adenta-Madina highway resulting in pedestrian killings.
According to him even though the project was not completed under the Mahama administration, the Akufo-Addo--led should have completed it by now.
Speaking on Kasapa FM Friday, he said “before I left office, it was only left with the footbridges we had to work on…..we did everything, the only safety mechanism left on the road was to complete the footbridges. This is why am saying that, if government had prioritized the project this wouldn’t have happened because I left all the documents with them and the ministry of highway knows about it. The contractor was on site working before I left the ministry and so if the contractor had been ordered and facilitated, enabled to go back to site, this death we are experiencing, wouldn’t have happened at all”
According to him, the project was part of the “gang of four” which was started by President Kufour. It has no dedicated source of funding……during our time, on yearly basis, we allocate funds for the completion of the project. So I ask, 1st January 2017 to the end, how much was paid to the contractor to go and complete the outstanding work, on 1st January until now, how much was paid to the contractor to go back to site”

CHEAP POLITICS. You built the road without any foot bridge and you say what? Else where you would be in court for causing harm to human life. The only thing NDC knows best is CREATE, LOOT & SHARE!
Honestly I am so disappointed in people calling themselves Honourable. This man was minister for roads and highways and did nothing all this while and now turn around to blame somebody?, God have mercy on us. Rawllings did not do what he did in 1979 for nothing. It is because of this kind of people that brought the anger. All these are calling themselves Honourable. Honourable indeed. Fire will burn all of you.
Mr Former Minister, for 8 years you couldn't complete an almost completed project and you have the nerve to blame the current government. Why don't you provide a schedule of work and payment to the contractors before asking same from the current govt. Please if you have nothing to say just keep quiet. People are grieving and angry so please stop.
So it was started by former president Kuffuor and for the past eight years on NDC administration you did not complete it but rather blaming NPP for not completing it within their almost twenty one months in office. Although it is very sad for people to loose their love ones but you and your government must be blamed
Why didn't your government NDC completed it when you it was handed to you in 2015. You see, create loot and share nkoaaaa
