Six people have reportedly been shot at the ongoing Ayawaso West Wuogon bye-election.
Speaking in an interview with host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", the National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress Samuel Ofosu Ampofo disclosed that the injured people were found in a pool of blood and rushed to the Legon hospital for immediate medical attention.
Revealing that the NDC and their Parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Delali Kwasi Brempong have pulled out of the elections; Mr Ofosu Ampofo condemned the attacks on the victims who he noted are NDC faithfuls.
He recounted that some unknown security personnel in masks indiscriminately fired several gunshots at the party electorates and in order to protect them has directed that they withdraw from the election.
