Nana Ato Dadzie, A former Chief of Staff has questioned the motive behind the formation of a Commission for Inquiry to investigate the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence when there are immediate ways of finding the perpetrators.
He said even though he does not have any problem with the members in the Commission, ‘we probably have jumped the gun’.
“I have no problem setting up the commission, but I am saying Rome is burning…we shouldn’t joke; vigilantism is a terrible scar on Africa. My business is to draw attention to all of that…if this happens in 2020, we will probably have people carrying their bags and leaving the country,” he indicated.
According to him, “the vehicle we are using to find out what went wrong may take a long time and tedious; yes, it is good, but we have elections next year…we can establish who went there, cars used within 72 hours. The Minister of State in charge of National Security (Bryan Acheampong) has already said he sent them so we can call him to just give us the names and the reason why they went there, why should we set a committee to find out who went there?”
Ato Dadzie who was speaking during a panel discussion on TV3’s ‘The Key Point’ programme, Saturday, said there is the need for Bryan Acheampong, to step aside for investigations to go and ‘if found innocent, he will get his office back’
“He (Bryan Acheampong) cannot remain in office while investigation goes on…he should step down and after the investigation if found innocent, he can come back to office.”

NDC had been in charge of the 4th Republic 31 out of 41 years. Were you able to solve electoral violence? Did you make any attempt to solve the Amenfi West, Akwatia, Atiwa, Kumawu, Tamale Central, Bawku, Odododiodio, Agbogbloshie, Asutifi, Asunafo, Cheriponi and Talensi electoral violence under the watchful eye of the so call Asomdweehene who was at the helm of your party? Those violence favour you so you saw nothing wrong and did nothing to solve them. At least this regime is making an attempt to try to arrest the situation. You can join to solve the problem or go to hell. The corrupt Mahamah is talking about "BOOT FOR BOOT" while his boys are chilling in Dubai. Is he bringing his boys down to face the Invincible and the Delta Forces boot for boot? What did you do about it? You had always be a leader in the morally bankrupt party; what advice did you give to them to solve the electoral violence? You're nothing but a corrupt morally bankrupt -1+D+1+0+T- opportunist hypocrite. Ato Dadzie talking about people stepping aside for investigation to take place; did he give this advice to Mills when they were in charge? This -1+D+1+0+T- should spur us the agony of hypocrisy period.
Totobi Quakyi, Ato Dazie etc can open thier mouth to say whatever they want because they are all covered under the infamous "INDEMNITY CLAUSE" so they have the right to open their mouth.
Oh so you knew by election violence can be solved in 72 hours? Very good then kindly show me the 72 hour solutions to the following: Atiwa, Talensi, Chereponi, Agblogbloshie, Odododiodio, Amenfi east. Where does the ndc recruit its membership from?
Name: Hwe Asem Look at him... Where in the past was by-election violence solved within 72 hours. I know you NDC leaders. It's through violence that you know you can win election. That is why you are not happy with uprooting this cancer from our elections. Tell me my dear lawyer, which of the myriad violence was solved by who? So you are only unhappy because your expenditure in your 'boot for boot' is going to be a waste. Bad debt. Shame!!!!

You the mentality of these NDC guys an those who think alike, is that... only the members of the national security are going to be held responsible for the violence... they know very well that,at the commission, their thugs assembled to go commit mayhem shall be exposed already some of them have already admitted that they were part of the national or NDC security.... therefore they trying very hard to hoodwink with the unreasonable claim that Bryan Acheampong had admitted responsibility therefore he be sacked and operatives prosecuted. Pretending as if the admission of the minister meant the operation is illegal.. what sort of logic is this...????
@Kososko. When will PNDC/NDC operatives repent? This government has to do her work well and stop some of these uncalled-for blunders and Ghanaians will ERASE PNDC/NDC in the body politics of Ghana. The fall and rise of governments are always dependent on the conduct of security services. Hence NADAA should shine his eyes and should not hesitate to bring to book such elements in the security services who want to bring his downfall.
Thank you to the guys who commented before me. It seems PNDC/NDC thinks Ghanaians are ***barred word*** and have short memory (as even confirmed by Mahama). Lets teach them our lesson and not bring them back till they truly repent
Just go and find the cause of death of the late Prof Mills.
Talk is cheap and political talk can be foolery!!! How come you still have not solved the Atta Mills death issue? And how come you had 8 years as a government and you could not solve the Yaa Naa case? And how come you never solved the Kumi preko murders? And how come you are so ***barred word*** as to reduce this whole issue to 72 hours of ***barred word***?
