An Economic and Financial analyst, Dr Lord Mensah says both the New Patriotic Party [NPP] and the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC] views on Ghana’s economy are 'questionable'.
According to him, the statistical data used by both parties create “uncertainty” to investors – and claimed is not “healthy for this country”.
“An investor will be wondering why the government and the opposition party are giving different information on the state economy. This is not good for the country,” he said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’.

Seriously?? I think our journalists should also do better than this. this is not news at all, except to put up the said "lecturer's" face on the news. Journalist should just check the figures and tell the people what the facts are. Opinions are not news. Lets do better
Ghana as a country has a major problem with our academia. Their local and political leaning influence them more than the realities on the ground. I had always respected the economists due to their ability to keep figures and make coherent analyses from them. However, the situation has changed since Rawlings appeared on the political scene. Otherwise respected academics make statements that betray and question their competence and objectivity. Let's learn to be truthful as a nation with issues of interest to the nation and move forward. Please, Mr Economist, you will do Ghana good by telling the innocent ones where to obtain the right statistical data on the economy of the country.
How can Economist and Financial Analyst say this.Every Potential Investor in any country in the world know where to verify data put out by the country Economic Management Team. As Economics Lecturer and Financial Analyst, you should offer you independent views and judgment about what Economic Management Team and Opposition have presented to Ghanaians and the world at large.Respectful speak as Economist and not a layman
YOU THE SO CALLED LECTURER IS NOT HELPING THE SITUATION AT ALL. ? WHAT ARE THE FIGURES ? YOU SHOULD QUOTE FIGURES FROM BANK OF GHANA AND GHANA STATISTICAL SERVICE TO END THE LIES AND FABRICATIONS OF THE NDC. BUT HERE YOU ARE CAUSING MORE CONFUSION
An economic lecturer and can not even tell what the facts are
But the investors are not myopic and will know the difference between those telling lies, period
