The National Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi did not have it easy when he showed up on Peace FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’ programme hosted by Kwami Sefa Kayi, popularly referred to as the Chairman General.
Kwami Sefa Kayi who was surprised Sammy Gyamfi was able to come on his show after insulting him on another radio station asked him to leave his studio.
It will be recalled that Sammy Gyamfi, after the NDC National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo’s alleged leaked tape went viral, accused the renowned morning show host and other journalists of being 'hypocrites'.
The NDC Communicator wondered why the Chairman General did not play other leaked tapes that captured the voice of New Patriotic Party (NPP) activists, but did gave prominence to the Ofosu-Ampofo leaked tape.
“These bunch of hypocrite journalists will never play leaked tapes on their shows so far as they have negative repercussions on the NPP. However, they are quick to play leaked tapes that involve the NDC like we are seeing today,” Sammy Gyamfi said at the time.
Initially, the NDC National executive who sounded unapologetic when he appeared on the show refused to show any sign of remorse for his actions because, to him, the issue was in the past and Sefa Kayi was attempting to "use his show to settle scores."
The host subsequently decided to ignore his presence on the show.
It took the intervention of other panel members, including former NPP Bantama constituency MP, Henry Kwabena Kokofu and Tarkwa Nsuaem NPP MP, George Mireku Duker; for the Chairman General to allow him back into the studio to make his submission at the tail end of today's edition of Kokrokoo.

His unapologetic stance is admirable. But it's unreasonable as well as hypocritical of Sammy Gyamfi to appear on the show if he's of the view that Sefa Kayi is a hypocrite. That makes him worse because he's acting as a hypocrite when he called another person a hypocrite. Period!
Sammy, you are better off being on that program. That program is full of comedians. A program where the likes of kwamena Duncan, ekow Dugan and allotey go and display their concert party is not a program you must even envy to attend. I must say only three persons make the program good, opanyin agyekum, kwesi pratt and sometimes kweku baako, that's it, the rest are all mindless including the host.
Ah, so that quote by sammy gyamfi is what has made the host angry to walk him out. Ah, is someone calling you HYPOCRITE an insult? I talk he even insulted him about his mother's big thing. If all he said is these Hypocrite journalists, then what is the big deal?
Someone should help me, was it because the guy said safa kei is hypocrite or what. Am happy all this is happening. A sign that NPP will lose big time come 2020
IN GHANA MOST PEOPLE, JOURNALISTS INCLUDED, CAN NOT STAND THE STARK TRUTH!! WHAT SAMMY SAID IS TRUE!!!! HYPOCRISY AND DUPLICITY IS THE HALLMARK OF SEFA KAYI!! HE IS GENERALLY ***barred word*** BUT ACTS LIKE A KNOWLEDGEABLE PERSON!! SEE HOW HE HARASSES PEOPLE LIKE PRATT AND SAMMY GYAMFI WHEN THEY APPEAR ON HIS SHOW!! LUCKILY THE PEOPLE HE FEELS HE IS WORKING FOR KNOW HIM WELL AND GOD IS WATCHING.......
What did you say? She might be out of her mind, right? You are very sick if you see Sefa Kayi's reaction as out of place. Is it ethical for Sammy to run him down so badly in another platform and present himself at his platform to contribute to his show? Do you find that ethical especially when he's not remorseful? Sefa Kayi has done the right thing. He has just proved to the arrogant guy that he (Sefa) is not hypocrite as he (Sammy) is believes. Sefa's action is plausible.
You guys and your reference to people as young guys. So if someone is younger than another, it means he can't speak in disagreement? What are you talking about. Sefa kayi, as old as he thinks he is, still insults people on his program. There has been times he has heckled mr pratt so much on his program, this is a big disrespect to pratt, yet he thinks someone is younger so he doesn't have to disagree with him. Double standards!
Despite what most political pundits know about the political affiliation of that group network, the UTV has shown fairness to the otherside much to the admiration of some of us and putting to shame some networks that claim to be objective. Therefore Bro.Kwame exercise certain some 'forced' tolerance for the image of the station considering the fact that you don't own that network. No one can predict electoral fortune outcomes and possible consequences of the victor's whims which the owner would have to deal with. So Bro Kwame please don't create any future headaches for the owner.
Kweku baako, sefa kayi, omanhene kwabena asante and kwame tsikese are four journalists who has been paid by npp to fight the ndc in defense of nana addo. But Sefa kayi and omanhene are so bias to the extent that they allow their party colors to expose them. Kweku baako is quite shrewd because he sometimes cut both sides. As for tsikese, he is the most corrupt and hypocrite of the four of them. Tsikese will give all the time in this world for npp apparatchiks to talk all day on his program and intentionally cut ndc folks off when they are making their submissions. Very wicked and unprofessional characters because of money being paid to them.
Am not sure Sefa has barred NDC people from his show but this guy. You can't malign a show with insults and propaganda and still expect to use the same show you malign to reach out to your people. Young politicians should be called to order when they are crossing the line. A young guy who feels so big to apologies when he makes a mistake has no political future
