President Akufo-Addo Accepts Hon. Rockson Bukari’s Resignation From Office
Meanwhile, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has accepted the resignation from office of Hon. Rockson Bukari.
This was after, Minister of State at the Office of the President submitted his letter of resignation to the President on Monday, 29th April, because he had “taken note of the tape circulating in the media”, and had, therefore, taken the decision to resign “in order not to allow the tape to disrupt the focus of government in delivering on its mandate.”
He further stated, in his letter, that he resigned “as a matter of principle”, having “exercised judgment contrary to what I have known you to stand for and require of your servants in running this country.”
The President accepted his resignation, and wished him well in his future endeavours, Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Presidency, said in a statement.

Aaaaaaaa.... There goes the NDC playing the tribal card! Is Abuga Pele not a Northern? Was he not jailed by his 'brother' Mahama? NDC, are eyes are opened wide now and you can not succeed in this. Tweeeeeaaaaa!
I just wonder why some of my people allow these Npp people to insult us that we do not read. The story said the man has resigned on his own and yet my ndc people are blaming that man. My guys please we need to check ourselves
You must be an ignoramus to think that the Minister resigned on his own volition. He was sacked under the guise of resignation.
the northerner has been fired. but with the akans the government needs raw tape. a northerner will always be a northerner as said by one of the ministers. free education helped northerners else they would have been cow takers. this is democracy and law and order.
Was he sack or he resigned himself, NDC in their haste to talk first always get it wrong.
Is the Akufo Addo government a two-class government? He is quick to boot non-akan out in the name of fighting corruption but goes a long way to defend his fellow akans caught in similarly crimes. We all know about Allan Kyeremanten, Charles Bissiw, Osafo Maarfo, Brian Acheampong, Mathew Opoku Prempeh to mention but a few.
