Ghanaians on social media have made their choice on which woman they would want to lead Ghana as president.
There have been calls from certain quarters who believe it’s about time Ghana had her first female president.
YEN.com.gh therefore put out a poll on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 asking Ghanaians to choose between Ursula Owusu Ekuful and Zanetor Rawlings.
While many people held that both women are qualified to be President of Ghana, majority decided in favour of Zanetor Rawlings. Zanetor is the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Klottey Korley constituency, while Ursula is the legislator for Ablekuma West Constituency.
At the end of the poll, 75% of Ghanaians chose Zanetor, with only 25% picking Ursula as their choice for female president.

She may be chosen as NDC flagbearer but not President of Ghana. But true speaking she may be better than Mahama. Ghana will not make that mistake again.
When United Sates is not ready for a female Prez. what makes you think Ghana is Ready? We are in a country full of low thinkers and all that they think about is POLITICS,ELECTIONS and POWER.
SAY WHAT?
THIS UNQUALIFIED PROMOTION AND PROPAGANDA SHOULD STOP.HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE POLLED IN GHANA TO FAVOR THIS DECISION? THESE LIES SHOULD STOP. MARK MY WORDS NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS WILL RALWLINGS DAUGHTER BE PRESIDENT OF GHANA NEVER EVER.HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? WHAT DID THE NINETEEN YEARS OF HER FATHER RULE OFFER GHANAIANS? EXCEPT KILLING,JEALOUSY,ENVY,NEPOTISM,AND STEALINGGGG FROM THE VERY PEOPLE HE CLAIMS HE CAME TO ENRICH.I BELIEVE MOST GHANAIANS ARE WILD WAKE NOW. OFCOURSE THERE ARE A FEW RIFFRAFFSSS WHO WILL FOLLOW THESE ***barred word*** AND GOOD FOR NOTHING THIEVESSSS WHO ARE A CURSE TO GHANA. NEVER EVER.
Please, please, don't let us make the name Rawlings aq trade mark in Ghanaian politics. Rawlings is an opportunist,a murder who brought about vigilantism better militia force in Ghanaian politics to instil fear in citizenry to maintain his political power. The Rawlings tenure fell in the same period like that of Mohammed of Malaysia.Juxtapose the performance of Mohammed to that of Rawlings for the same lengh of time and you will agree with that , that of Rawlings was an abysmal flop.Infact, the Ghanaians have had enough of the Rawlingses which I find very disappointing, taking into consideration the numerous murderous act in his regims. As a father very irresponsible and Ghanians desist the name Rawlings in Ghanaian politics and let us all in the hindsight strongly halt another unqualified opportunity to the Rawlingses. Once a monster always a monster. And Ghanians, for God's sake, have more in intelligent people in abundance.
The only woman most qualified to be the first president of Ghana is MADAM HANNAH TETTEH. She has all the credentials.
a very unscientific and weak presentation. some journalists are just 'poor minds'
What is the polling criterion? How many people were polled? This kind of news does not befit being published on a reputable news portal like Peace on Line. Thanks
Ghanains should stop the stupiiiid/unwarrented comparison and think of more productive issues. having kids with already wedded man and fighting over kids custody and being kicked out of marriage for ------- are not qualifications in traditional Ghanaian values. Ghanaians will go beyond paper qualifications to make an informed decision. We have been told of a leak through and NDC woman so why would ndc members think of woman president. Yaa Asantewaa's era is gone. Also, an NDC woman has demonstrated how unsafe it is to have a woman president so ghanaians should stop this stupiiid and unwarrented comparison. If Ghanaians want to choose a woman as president traditional values must be the key and not just paper qualification. we are aware of what these two have been through
