The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) seems to be in a joyous mood following a Supreme Court ruling against embattled businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome.
A Supreme Court judge, Justice Alfred Benin, has ordered that several properties belonging to the businessman be sold to offset some 51 Million Ghana Cedis judgement debt owed the State.
The properties are two executive buildings located at Trassaco in Accra, the office complex of Anator Holdings, a company owned by Woyome, two residential buildings at Caprice and Abelemkpe, both suburbs in Accra, as well as a mining quarry owned by him in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The properties are estimated at GHc 20 million.
Reacting to this, the General Secretary of the NPP, John Boadu described the ruling as a victory for the party.
According to him, the NPP promised to retrieve the money and so the ruling is a plus for the party.
"NDC didn’t want us to talk about the Woyome issue. This matter is close to our heart . . . I believe it’s a plus for us . . . it is a promise we made that has been fulfilled. I believe it is a victory for us," he stated during a panel discussion on Peace FM morning show 'Kokrokoo'.

Stop haunting or disturbing Woyome!. Ghanaians know that Woyome's money was used as a political campaign cash for both the NDC & the NPP; with direct cashflows through big wigs in both parties. Free him & stop wasting our time!. May be, you have even benefitted!
Good step. Now collect the money b4 your congratulate yourself.
The NPP never promised to build 350 school buildings. Stop your propaganda The NPP within this short period has created more jobs than your NDC The credit is more stable under your government
This promise will not have any effect or change in the peoples life, important promises needed to be fulfilled are 1 district 1 factory,1 village 1 dam,the 350 school buildings you promised to build, roads, creating jobs, stabilising the cedi, cutting down petrol, water, and electricity prices and a lot,but none has been done. Those attempted has been shoddy.Better bow your head in shame because you have failed the people and cant win elections with this Woyome trash
