Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, Founder and Leader of Glorious Word and Power Ministry International
Founder and leader of Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah has denied ever making any prophetic declaration that the Ghana Black Stars was going to triumph over the Tunisian counterparts as being circulated on social media.
According to him, though the viral tape currently circulating in the public space is his voice, he was only wishing the Black Stars well prior to their one-sixteenth stage encounter with the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.
To him, that cannot be classified as a prophecy he had received from God as his detractors have sought to portray.
“We have prophecies and opinion sharing and I don’t think that I have to stand in my church and wish the Black Stars lose in the match against the Tunisians; otherwise I don’t love my country. I never said that God has revealed to me that Ghana Black Stars will score Tunisia and win the AFCON”, he denied.
Reacting on Okay FM’s "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show, Rev. Owusu Bempah said that “even my wish for the Black Stars came to pass because I said we will score and even if we draw, there will be penalties. Indeed we scored but the referee disallowed the goal and we played penalties as I said in church and I remember I added that I don’t like penalties”.
He maintained that God never revealed anything to him regarding the ongoing AFCON in Egypt; and whatever he said prior to Ghana's match were his own personal projections and wishes.
The outspoken man of God maintained that he is not one of those prophets who have a penchant of prophesying on football; and denied being the prophet who urged Kwasi Appiah to give the captaincy to Dede Ayew as speculated.
".....i have not heard from Kwasi Appiah for a long time....If the NDC wants to hear God’s prophecy then this is it. The prophecy from God is that NPP in 2020 will win the elections hands down. This is what God has revealed to me and I dare them that if this prophecy of God does not come to pass, Ghanaians can do whatever they like to me and they can even take me to wherever they want," he stated.
