Parliamentary aspirants of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Asunafo South district of the Ahafo Region of Ghana are accusing executives of sabotage.
According to Madam Rose Mensah, speaking in an interview on Peace FM morning show "Kokrokoo", attempts to purchase a form has proved futile because the office has been locked up.
"I approached the constituency secretary and informed him of my intention to buy a form. But he said the constituency chairman, Issah Ahmed has stopped him from selling the forms. He subsequently told me that the constituency chairman has taken the forms to Sankore. They just want to scare us away and to create confusion in Asunafo south...they want only one person to contest for that position and that is not fair," she decried.
Reacting to this on the same platform, the constituency Chairman, Issah Ahmed refuted the claims.
Listen to his reaction in the interview below
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) would hold its parliamentary primaries on the 24 August 2019.
