Sammy Awuku, National Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed confidence in the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy (TESCON) to help the party clinch victory, come 2020.
Mr. Awuku was hopeful the student wing will not disappoint the party, therefore expressing optimism on his Facebook wall about the commitment of TESCON to ensure President Nana Akufo-Addo and his government get a second term.
The student wing of the party launched activities to mark its 20th Anniversary in Accra on Monday, 29th July 2019.
Speaking at the gathering, Mr. Awuku further commended the founders and leaders of TESCON for the crucial role they continue to play in NPP electoral fortunes and urged them to work harder as the party prepares for the 2020 Elections.
"I remain assured that TESCON is definitely well positioned to ensure victory in 2020”, he said.
The main Speaker at the anniversary was Vice President of Ghana, H.E. Mahamudu Bawumia and also present were Francis Asenso Boakye, Founding President of TESCON and Deputy Chief of Staff, NPP National Chairman Freddie Blay, the party's National Youth Organizer Henry Nana Boakye and Hon Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Minister for Communications, among others.
