Former member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Henry Kwabena Kokofu has stated categorically that the Energy Minister, Peter Amenu has no right to declare the suspended PDS contract as fraudulent.
Speaking on UTV's 'Adekye Nsroma' newspaper discussion programme, Lawyer Kokofu stressed: "Peter Amewu has no right per the laws binding the state to declare the PDS contract as fraudulent without any evidence-based document to prove."
He further mentioned that the comments made by the Energy Minister are his personal views that can never be associated with that of the office he occupies or government's take read by the Information Minister earlier on.
Meanwhile, making reference to the comments made by former Attorney General, Betty Mould Iddrisu with respect to the suspended PDS contract, calling for the removal of the current Energy Minister, Lawyer Kokofu in a wild voice insisted that "Betty Mould Iddrisu has no moral grounds to call for the removal of the Energy Minister when under her watch more scandalous cases were never looked at or paid attention to like we are seeing today in President Akufo-Addo's regime."
