Dr. Gideon Boako, spokesperson for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says, "if NDC of all parties had a peaceful election" it was because of the passing of the vigilante law.
The recently held primaries of the opposition National Democratic Congress can be described as generally peaceful.
In all 524 candidates contested the internal polls in 157 constituencies out of 275. 39 Members of Parliament went unopposed.
Meanwhile, a total of nine incumbent MPs lost their bids to contest the 2020 Parliamentary Election.
Reacting to this during Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', Dr Boako said, "one thing we are taking for granted is the relative peace experienced during the NDC's primaries. It is true we had few incidents of violence but generally, typical of the NDC where their primaries are marred by violence and so on; it reduced this time around. We should ask ourselves why NDC of all parties had this peace during their primaries . . . part of what led to this is the vigilante law and that shows leadership on the part of President Akufo-Addo.

Oh he is an Advisor to the Vice president on economics oooo, so please spare him
And he called himself a doctor? shame. That is why we are in this mess.
First time with Peace FM. For two days continuous; yesterday morning (26/8/19)and today's morning news at 6, there was no mention of Akufo Addo's name by both newscasters, perhaps because bootlickers like Kwame Amoo and Nana Yaa Konadu. I pray that you still get your stipends from your pay masters because Peacefmonline has managed to put two uselessss audios about their nightmare president Mahama on this partisan website. No wonder peacefmonline viewership has reduced drastically of late and even those visiting this sight hardly comment on the one-sided stories posted on the site.
The NDC in the first place have no choice but to behave. With the flagbearership race, at least, they had some fine elements as contestants and with the deepening of democracy in Ghana, they have to follow the new order. Moreover, the exposure their tricks at the Ayawaso WW bye-elections and the new vigilante law have reinforced their obligation to be more law-abiding. Finally, with resources at the disposal of the NDC concentrated in one man, mostly the contestants on his ticket might have won and the others may not have had the financial muscle and will-power to sponsor any rowdyism
I think someone must investigate how this Awam Doctor had his PHD. Warped analysis
php with swallow analysis
Where from this one too.......are you sure your PhD is genuine.......apuuuuu
I do not think analysis deserves any merit, intact it is very hollow. Was the law passed before the the flagbearershhip race , did you hear any incidence? The whole country is waiting to see what will happen to yours and the general elections under your leadership
