The Ministry of Education says the community day senior high schools begun under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration have not been abandoned as alleged.
In a statement dated Wednesday, August 28, the Ministry said 25 have been completed so far since the Akufo-Addo-led government took office in January, 2017. According to the statement, 14 were completed single-handedly by the government while 11 were sponsored by the World Bank through the Secondary Education Improvement Project (SEIP).
This is in response to allegations made by former president John Dramani Mahama that the schools have been abandoned. “It appears former President Mahama has been ill-briefed on this matter, and the Ministry wishes to clarify as follows.”

this man koraaa, is he going m@d?
Waiting for NDC to organise a press conference and react to this.
But if Mahama is to speak the truth, how will he campaign? The man is out there campaigning, and you expect him to say he abandoned the school projects and this government is now completing them? Allow him to campaign. It is only sad that he thinks all that he says will be swallowed by Ghanaians. He has failed to realise that Ghanaians have moved on from politics of deception. He is still stuck with it. Telling lies and saying he is rather speaking the truth and others are lying. That is the ***barred word*** syndrome
Lies and Lies will not win u power Mr. Mahama, Banking cries Lies, now this one too
I will say it again.. Mr. Mahama does not have the welfare of this country at heart.. God knows he wants to come and chop for the second time... God will not allowed it...Propaganda
GOOD WORK! RESPONSE VERY APPROPRIATE, PROFESSIONAL AND EDUCATIVE. THE MINISTRY SHOULD KEEP THE PUBLIC ABREST WITH FACTUAL INFORMATION ON DEVELOPMENTS IN THE EDUCATION SECTOR DEVOID OF POLITICS AND PROPAGANDA.
Good piece. This is by far one of the best responses I've read in recent times. Good work by the P.R.O unit of GES, without insults, straight to the point. Mahama really has nothing to say.....
Good Work.
