The Local Government Service has interdicted a member of the Builsa South District Assembly for allegedly breaching the Service’s regulations.
Maazu Abubakar was an aspirant in the just ended opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries.
He contested in the Pru West Constituency of the Bono East region but came up in the last position with a paltry 16 votes; far behind Mohammed Masawudu who won with 317 votes.
In a statement, the Office of the Head of Local Government Service said Abubakar’s participation in the primaries breaches the neutrality clauses which are required of him.
The service said it has initiated investigations into the matter.
