The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Flagbearer, John Mahama has again accused the Akufo-Addo administration of abandoning development projects started by his administration.
This time the former President pointed towards the Volta Region as evidence of this after making similar comments in other regions.
According to Mr. Mahama, schools and road projects initiated during his time as President have been left unattended to in the region.
Speaking to market women at Sogokope in the Volta Region, Mr. Mahama insisted that government has failed Ghanaians.
“All the projects have come to a standstill because the NDC left office. The Community secondary school has come to a standstill. All the road projects have come to a standstill. All the road projects have come to a standstill. All the road projects have come to a standstill.”
Mr. Mahama most recently made similar complaints when he visited the northern part of Ghana.
When he visited a completed but not in use Community Day School at Mpaha in the Yapei Kusawgu Constituency of the Savanna Region, he condemned the government for not paying for ongoing projects and refusing to open up other completed ones.
Speaking during a campaign tour of the Northern Region, back in 2018, Mr. Mahama described this situation with development projects as unfortunate.
“It is a pity because everything that we started has come to a standstill. I go round the country and most of the roads, where we left them on 7th January 2017, that is where the roads have ended. All the community based Secondary Schools, where we left them on 7th January 2017, that is where they have ended.”
“And the tragedy is, if you ask the New Patriotic Party (NPP) what are they doing about the road they will say free SHS. If you ask about the CHPS compound, they will say we have given you free SHS, when you ask about jobs, they will say we have given you free SHS.”

Who is this Ghanaian are you serious and fir real you are a Ghanaian if really ndc is not the right party for Ghanaians! listen, even in America lazy people are hungry but nobody blame Trump for that ! this government has put down a lot of interventions and if you are lazy sitting on your ***barred word*** thinking manna will fall then you will jeopardize your future because mahama is not coming today or tomorrow to give out Ghana's money to ndc footsoldiers for no work done ! sit on your ***barred word*** and say the devil you know is better than the angel you don't know then Nana Addo won the 2008 elections in the first round before prof. Mills so mahama can't be the one we know he was a mistake president brought to the seat by default which Ghanaians rejected because he wasn't the candidate that Ghana needed but Prof. Mills or Nana Addo but he killed Prof. Mills to become a mistake president and we will still vote against him to stay in opposition! John mahama has confirm he us not a presidential material because he can't think on his own hence he is asking Ghanaians to bring their views! nons*ense who told him Ghanaians want a president without brains to think kritically? what does he take Ghanaians for? does he think he is the only person to rule this country i mean who told him that? President Kuffuor ruled Ghana with his brains not somebody's, Nana Addo is ruling with his brains and you want me to give you brains to rule over me what nons*ense is that ! thank God John mahama will never win with no brains in his head.
Could someone please tell John Mahama NPP have to abandon his projects to be able to pay off all the massive debts he left behind when leaving office. ZOMBI!!!
They will insult you ooo. When they do it to Mahama it's laughable, but when it hits NADAA they say one does not respect authority. It's not as if Mahama is the best option to NADAA but the current situation leaves us with "the devil you know is better than he angel you don't know". Political jargons don't bring money to my pocket.
This man is confused, he is seeking to get attention , that’s why he was seen using mower to weed one of the highways in Accra. A year to election and you haven’t yet told Ghanaians what your policies and programs are for 2020. Even in opposition still incompetenttt
This NDC man (Mahama) has no shame to talk about abandoned project. He still thinks we have short memories. this can NEVER win you (Mahama) sympathy vote. NEVER! Tell us one single thing that you will do for Ghana and stop this tangential rants!
Cutting sod on projects in the election year just to win votes are not projects with approved budgets by the parliament. Mahama should name the projects, the money allocated to them and the time parliament approved them. All that Ghanaians need from you is to bring out your alternative policies to the NPP ones period. Some of us in the Volta region are no more winning machine for the NDC party.
