President Nana Akufo-Addo has told Ghanaians that falsehood is never part of his agenda but commitment to developing the country.
President Akufo-Addo, who attended a durbar of chiefs and people of Ga West, Ga North and Ga Central on Monday, 2 December 2019, as part of his three-day working visit to various parts of the Greater Accra Region, told the gathering that: “Everything I said I will do I am doing. I didn’t come to lie to anyone in Ghana. That is not the reason why I came but to work and transform the country with the help of my appointees”.
He told the residents that Accra will have its fair share of the construction of roads as the Finance Minister announced to Parliament in the 2020 budget.
He outlined that: “In 2020, all the things we need to do for the citizens to have comfort will be done. We are going to make sure inner-city roads, main trunk roads [are constructed]”.
The President admitted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government “can’t do everything but we will do what is significant so that everyone will witness that progress is coming back to Ghana”
The President’s tour is also meant to seek and collate the needs and development inputs from residents.
During the tour, the President is expected to inspect ongoing works, open completed projects, and cut the sod for new projects to commence.
He charged the residents to commit their unflinching support for the government to achieve its mandate successfully.
Day two of the President’s tour will begin in Odododiodio, where he will interact with and distribute outboard motors to the fisherfolk at a durbar in Ga Mashie. He will also walk through Kantamanto to Makola and Okaishie to meet with the membership of the Ghana Union Traders Association and the Traders Union. At Old Fadama, the President will cut the sod for the construction of a hostel for Kayayei, in fulfilment of a manifesto pledge.
At Ablekuma South, President Akufo-Addo will interact with tutors and students of St. Mary's SHS, and inspect of ongoing works under the Senior High School Intervention Project. He will also inspect the Odawna Sahara Storm Drain Project, and cut the sod for the construction of a Science-based Senior High School near the Weija Treatment Plant in the Weija-Gbawe Constituency to end the second day of the tour.
The final day of the tour will begin with an inspection of the Railway Track Construction from Afienya to Ashaiman. He will cut the sod for the construction of a Sea Defense Project at Prampram, in the Ningo-Prampram constituency, and proceed to Tema East where he will meet and interact with clearing agents at the Tema Harbour, and also visit the workshop for retrofitting and repairing of coaches in the Tema West constituency.

I WONDERED WHEN THE MOTION TO ELECT MMDCEs WAS WITHDRAWN TOGETHER WITH THE REFERENDUM FOR POLITICAL PARTIES TO BE INVOLVED IN THE LOCAL LEVEL ELECTIONS. THE TWO ISSUES ARE NOT THE SAME. ONE CAN BE DONE WITHOUT THE OTHER. WHAT THEN IS THE WISDOM TO ABORT THE TWO? UPON DEEP REFLECTION I HAVE NOW COME TO UNDERSTAND THE PRESIDENT. THOUGH THE TWO PROVISIONS ARE NOT THE SAME AND ONE DOES NOT NEED TO DEPEND ON THE OTHER, LIKE THE REFERENDUM, THE NPP GOVERNMENT STILL NEED NDC MPs TO SUPPORT THE MOTION FOR THE AMENDMENT. THE DECEPTION OF NDC TO ATTACK AND DESTROY THE TARGET OF THE REFERENDUM MAKES IT DIFFICULT FOR THEM TO BE TRUSTED TO SUPPORT THE MOTION FOR MMDCEs ELECTIONS. THE GOVERNMENT CAN NO LONGER RELY ON NDC TO SUPPORT THE MOTION FOR THE AMENDMENT TO ELECT THE MMDEs. THE SABOTAGE OF THE REFERENDUM REVEALS MUCH ABOUT NDC. THEY CARE LITTLE FOR TRUE DEMOCRACY. THE BETRAYAL CLEARLY DEMONSTRATES THAT NDC DID NOT EVEN LIKE THE CREATION OF SIX NEW REGIONS. THEY PRETENDED TO SUPPORT IT JUST FOR POLITICAL CONVENIENCE. THEY COULD NOT OPENLY OBJECT TO THE NEW REGIONS BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT RESIST THE EXCITEMENT OF THE PEOPLE TO GET THEIR REGIONS. IF GHANAIANS TRULY WANT TO ELECT THEIR MMDCES THEN THEY SHOULD VOTE NDC OUT OF PARLIAMENT IN 2020. BY THE CONSTITUTION WE NEED MORE THAN TWO-THIRDS MAJORITY OF PARLIAMENT TO PASS THE MOTION FOR MMDCEs ELECTION. GNANIANS IN 2020 ELECTIONS SHOULD VOTE TO ELECT MORE NPP MPs IN 2020 SO THAT THEY CAN GET THE NEEDED OVERWHELMING MAJORITY TO PASS SUCH AMENDMENT WITHOUT RELYING ON NDC SUPPORT. NDC CAN NEVER BE TRUSTED. THEY DO POLITICS WITH EVERYTHING WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE NATION. YES WE NEED THEM IN PARLIAMENT TO MAKE THE USUAL NOISEEEE BUT WE MUST KEEP THEIR NUMBER LOW TO KEEP THE NATION MOVING FORWARD.
It is sometimes difficult to differentiate between truth and lies it becomes integral part of your daily speech. Hence the president cannot see
S3 ME MONIMONI OO S3 ME SERE OO MEN HUNU. ONIPA B3N NA 3NTWA NTRO DA? NANA WO Y3 PANI AH!
