President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has justified why 96 out of the 275 ambulances are currently parked at the State House.
The issue of these parked ambulances emerged after the Minority side on Parliament’s Health Committee gave government the ultimatum to immediately release the aambulances or risk further public agitations. Others joined in the campaign indicating that there is no reason for the ambulances to be parked while people are dying.
The Minister for Special Development Initiative, Mavis Hawa Koomson under whose purview the distribution lies in an interview on Neat FM said the assertion that failure to deliver the ambulances to the constituencies could increase the deaths of unfortunate Ghanaians, is neither here nor there, since “people started dying a long time ago”; a statement many have described as 'insensitive'.
On Friday, a journalist asked the President why the ambulances were parked during this year's Encounter with the mediia series.
In response, President Akufo-Addo thus disclosed that not to be accused of being bias, he has directed that by the first week of January, 2020, the Ambulances must been delivered to every constituency as promised.
"The Minister for Special Development Initiative told me some of the ambulances were in and asked if she should distribute them and I said NO; she shouldn't. She should wait for the others to come in so that we can distribute all at the same time...Fortunately for us all of them will be in by the end of this month and on the 6th of January, I will commission them and the distribution will take place simultaneously and nobody will accuse me of favoritism, and so on. There is no justification on they being parked but if i was to send it here and not here i think you know the kind of discourse that will come," he stated.

YOU MIGHT HAVE MADE SENSE BUT THE COMMON SENSE IS WHAT IS NEEDED HERE. PEOPLE ARE DYING EVERY SECOND MOSTLY DUE TO AMBULANCES NOT AROUND AND ALL YOU CAN SAY IS NO?. YOU SEE SOMETIMES IT IS JUST TOO MUCH. WHAT WILL YOU GAIN FOR HOLDING UP THE AVAILABLE ONES?. STOP THE WICKED MINDED THOUGHTS AND DISTRIBUTE THE AMBULANCES TO THE MOST NEEDED AREAS FIRST.
Then why not start all the IDIF projects at the same time so that no district would complain of not getting theirs.
My fellow Ghanaian;s now Ghana has got a wise president in the person Presiident Akuffo Addo. The ambulance is to distribute it to 275 constituency and if only 96 has arrived why do you distribute? It will take a myopic characters like NDC leadership to critize to score cheap and uncultured political point which to me is non stater . All the 275 ambulance distributes concurrently to serve purposes it was purchase not to succumb to uninspiring dinning hall prefect in the person of Akandoh and the good for nothing NDC leader pressure. Wise president , kindly do what is right for good people of Ghana.Akandoh and his vision-less Mahama brought same ambulance to Ghana and the question is where are they? Ghanaian;s are not ***barred word*** to fall NDC prey
A fuuuulish statement from a fuuuulish leader. May you die very soon for us to be free. God bless Ghanaians.
Did the administration planned before purchasing the ambulance or they were acquired before thinking of the distribution. This is an area where common sense should be applied. Or the procurement process were bypassed because of someone's kickback, hence making the distribution very difficult. I do not think that Akuffo Addo is behaving and acting as a president. No wonder he goes on sleeping at the least opportunity. It is clear to every sensible ghanaian that both NDC and NPP are all corrupt and taking advantage of low thinking and idiooots followers to enrich themselves with infantile arguments and stupiiid criticisms from each side just to confusethe general public
YOU NOTOROUS DANGRIOUS CRIMINALS [NDC] IDI**OTS , WHOM HAVE NO MASSAGE ARE NOW LOOKING FOR A CHEAP POLITICAL POINT. SINCE WHEN DID GHANAIANS START TO DIE ? WHEN THEY BROUGHT IN THEIR TRO-TRO CARS AS AMBULANCRS< DID THE DEATH LEAVE GHANAIANS FROM DYING ? IF IT"S ONLY THE NDC FO***ULS WHO ARE DYING, THEN I WILL SAY THANKS BE TO THE ALMIGHTY GOD . YOUR DEAD SHEEP LEADER ONCE SAID , HE DOES NOT NEED ANY ADVICE FROM ANYBODY WHO HAS NOT BEEN A PRESIDENT . HE WANT POEPLE TO COMPLAIN SO THAT HE CAN USE IT AS HIS CAMPAIN MASSAGE,
OH NANA, WELL SAID
well said NANA
A wise statement from a wise leader. May you live long President Akuffo Addo. God bless mother Ghana.
Nana addo, youu are not a leader. Any leader who fears criticism is an immature one. Just because people will say you showing favoritism in the distribution of these ambulances, if you decide to pack them for people to suffer then you need to be kicked out. Is this a reason to give?
