In the wake of the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus outbreak, with two recorded cases in Ghana, the Ghana Education Service, on Friday, 13th March, in a well-publicized statement, ordered all heads of schools to suspend public activities until further notice.
The Director-General of the GES, Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa said “public activities such as Speech and Prize-Giving Days” have been suspended “until further directives are given by the Director-General.”
Just as he continued to flout the directives, such as stopping hand shakes, in his recent visit to the Northern Region, John Mahama again defied this directive by the GES.
On Saturday, 14th March he attended the 15th anniversary celebration of St. Andrews Senior High School in Assin Fosu.
How irresponsible can the former President get? And this is a man who wants Ghanaians to give him another opportunity to rule Ghana?
God forbid. Ghanaians cannot entrust the destiny of the nation into the hands of such a person who doesn't show responsibility in the wake of this outbreak. It will never happen.

I am in Wa, I wish I could contact in Jirapa and advice you not to disgrace us anymore.
So, Professor Kwesi Yankah, the Minister of State at the Education Ministry who was the special guest and addressed the anniversary is what? Mr. Nabila and PeaceFM. Answer me.
The writer is a block-headed person who doesn't read. He is not even aware a counter directive was given by the council of private schools informing their members they were not to be affected by the GES directive. It is not our worry if your government is scared by the return of President John Mahama.
People are so seriously evil minded how would you blame president mahama for being on tour before the so called conoravirus victims were announced, when your own president, the leader of Ghana went to norway, at a time the virus was wide spread there. He came back and was walking among huge crowds at the airport, and has since attended 6th March where thousands were present in a mammoth crowd. Is it hatred or what? When elected president could not call NJ off 6th, how do you call mahama irresponsible when he has been on tour at the same time you responsible president was organizing 6th March. Perhaps if 6th March was suspended then you could blame mahama for being irresponsible but all his activities were ongoing before the confirmation of COVID 19 was recorded in Ghana.
U could ve done far more better than this disgraceful and irresponsible piece u just put out there.u ve just proved that u are nt even on top of what u set out to do(primitive politics)and for that matter any issue requiring intellect. So sad u are from my area
