The Adentan Constituency of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) has launched an electronic platform to mobilise revenue for the party.
The platform, which is collaborative work between the constituency and Wigal Solution, an IT mobile content company, will also enable members of the party to register and pay dues.
Internal strategy
Speaking at the launch last Wednesday, the Constituency Chairman, Mr Abdul Malik Jeleel, said the platform, with the short code *800*123#, was linked to the constituency’s NIB bank account to facilitate membership registration, dues payment and receipt of donations.
He said the integrated system was part of the internal party strategy to win the parliamentary seat for the party in the December elections.
He said it would also send text messages to all the registered members of the party in the constituency.
He commended stakeholders for providing the necessary logistics for the novelty in the CPP’s fund mobilisation drive.
Adentan seat
Mr Jeleel urged members of the party in the constituency to take advantage of the initiative to register and resource the party to win the Adentan seat.
He also appealed to residents of Adentan to take advantage of the initiative and register.
He reiterated the determination of the CPP to end the duopoly of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the constituency and appealed to the youth of Adentan to rise for a change in parliamentary leadership on December 7, 2020.
