NDC 2020 Presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama has promised to construct an airport in the Upper East Region.
The former President made this declaration during the NDC 2020 manifesto launch held at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) on Monday.
According to him, he secured a land in the Upper East Region for the project and will ensure continuation of what he began before ousted out of power in 2016.
''Construct a domestic airport in the Upper East Region. The land was secured when I was President and it's a project that we'll continue'', he said.
The party's manifesto is dubbed the ''People's Manifesto'' and the pledge to construct the domestic airport is part of John Mahama's $10 billion ''Big Push'' agenda that he seeks to roll out when re-elected as President during December 7 elections.
