Non-Governmental Organization ‘Citizen Eye Ghana’ (CITEG), has appealed to all political parties and their supporters to avoid any form of violence in the run-up to the December 7, 2020 elections.
The group’s Founder, Mr. Alex Kweku Tetteh urged all parties to be tolerant of divergent views after stressing that the nation needed peace and unity to enhance political stability and sustainable socio-economic growth.
“Election campaign is all about marketing and whoever markets well will get the nod from the electorates to rule this country. So, all we need ahead of this election is peace,” he told Peacefmonline.com in an interview.
Citizen Eye Ghana (CITEG) also called on government to strengthen the nation’s security system to ensure that the forthcoming elections would be absolutely a violent-free event.
