Hon. Lydia Alhassan has donated emergency relief items to over 300 victims of flooding in some electoral areas in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
The items include student size mattresses, clothes, cooking oil, soap, blankets and plastic buckets among others.
The rains which started in the early hours of Saturday flooded parts of Ayawaso West Wuogon leaving most of the constituents stranded.
At the Ayawaso West Wuogon, specifically Westland and its adjoining areas, the downpour destroyed properties worth thousands of cedis.
In brief remarks during the presentation, Hon. Lydia Alhassan pledged to put measures in place to stop the floods.
“You shouldn’t lose hope, for I’m there for you and will continue to be with you in this moment of distress.''
“My office is readily available to help you”, she assured the constituents.
The victims expressed their gratitude to the MP and appealed for more aid.
