The incumbent Member of Parliament for Builsa North, James Agalga has beaten his contender in the 2020 parliamentary race held on Monday.
According to a provisional result, the NDC’s Agalga polled 13,826 of the total votes cast as against his closest contender, Abakisi James Maurice, who garnered 9,031 votes.
The ruling NPP’s candidate Mr. Abakisi was hoping to be the second person from the NPP stock to win the seat for the second time since 2004 when Agnes Chigabatia won it for the party but failed woefully.
