Member of Parliament(MP) for Akim Oda constituency, Alexander Akwasi Acquah has won the admiration and commendation of his party leadership after he emerged as the best Parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Eastern Region.
He is on record as the only NPP candidate in the Region to have won more votes in the December 7, 2020 elections.
He knocked off his National Democratic Congress (NDC) opponent by 25,380 votes representing 79.45 percent of valid votes cast to win the seat while the NDC candidate polled 6,262 votes representing 19.60%.
The gap between the two was 19,118, an impressive performance in a constituency in the 2020 elections.
With this assertion, the General Secretary of the party, John Boadu speaking on Asempa FM noted that: “Akwasi Acquah has done so well and therefore deserve commendation."
John Boadu stressed that, "Akwasi Acquah has done well because he did a lot of work and put in place various social intervention program such as hospitals."
"He has a fantastic formular for health care delivery in this country that Government must consider it," he said.
