A state burial service was held today, January 27 for former President of Ghana, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings to usher him into the land of eternity.
Former President has been buried at the new Military Cemetery at Burma Camp.
As the Statesman exits the land of the living, the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sam Pyne is pleading with Ghanaians who have been pained by Mr. Rawings' actions to let go of their pains.
Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Sam Pyne advised the embittered Ghanaians to forgive the late former President and let bygones be bygones.
"Let's leave everything to God and forgive his wrong. Let's move forward as a nation. I have personal issues; my father and I were victims but I don't want to talk about that anymore," he said.
