Former Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan has sung the praises of Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta following his approval by the Appointments Committee in Parliament.
Ken Ofori-Atta's approval was not without controversy, however, he sailed through his vetting successfully.
Speaking on Peace FM's ''Kokrokoo'', Kwamena Duncan noted that there are a lot of hatred for Hon. Ofori-Atta but he will make Ghana proud as Finance Minister for the second time.
He believed the Minister has an impeccable quality and is one who will help revive the economy from the ravages of the Coronavirus pandemic that has caused the country to lose huge revenues.
"The President trusts in you. We trust in you. It is not an easy thing. When you have debts just mounting, when you have your growth rate coming down from 7 to 0.9 and all of that but we back you with prayers that every pesewa, every cedi that this country generates; you will make this country have it's full value. You'll block all the loopholes and in the next year, nex two years, you will get this economy very firm back on the true track that by 2023/24, we will begin to grow at 5 percent and that the fiscal deficit tamed again under 5 percent. It shall come to pass by God's grace!"
Kwamena touted the Finance Minister's virtues saying "I have many that I speak to in private who know Ken Ofori-Atta how frugal, how honest man with impeccable integrity; people in private who say...he is a real asset but they have committed to politics".
